Fer-de-Lance & Vulture Specs

It's not about its flight model, it's about ship design and whoever is doing the design obsession with adding pointless wings.

There was a lot of spiel about function of the ships - what function do the wings provide?

Why did they do all that unnecessary crazy stuff to cars in the 50's.

It might just be a tradition keeping aesthetic or perhaps they add a little stability in atmosphere, who knows. Not sure why it matters really. Chances are they just added them to break away from the 80's faceted arrow head shapes.

I really cannot understand the role of FDL. With such short jump range it is of no use for exploration. It has too few and too small internal compartments for trading. It's size 5 power plants makes it useless for combat as it provides only 20.40MW of power.

It is fast but how that's about all that it has.

If you go back to Elite, FDL was meant to be a bounty hunter's ship, so it was fast but had little cargo space.

21.9 million for the Vulture and 100 million for the fer-de-lance, folks. :/ Looks like I will be dusting off the Type-6 for an extra 15 million credits.

Thanks to the OP I have been looking all over hell to find pics of these two lol! Now the big question is where do you buy them & are they only available in group play or can I purchase them in private groups as well ?
Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

Well, if this thread is going to get resurrected, I might as well mention that the Vulture is now approximately 5m, and the FDL 56m (if I recall correctly). The Vulture is now to the Asp what the Viper is to the Cobra.
