OK believe what you want against all evidence.

This CG was obviously written to spite you personally, a massive super dooper killer weapon was given to one side to make sure they won. Every single person waited until day 2 and then jumped on the winning side. Every single person fought for that super dooper weapon only. Non of them RP, none of them were anti-Imp or Alliance or Federation aligned, none of them were supporting EBM or Liz Ryder or the Dark Wheel, all of them kept fighting to the bitter end to get their hands on that super dooper weapon.

The CG had one outcome pre-written and thats all there is to it. Nothing else can possibly explain any persons actions. Nobody else has ever chosen the losing side in any CG ever.

All CGs should have participation trophies, module credits, decals etc just something for participating. Credits and storyline are nowhere near enough to take part in a COMMUNITY Goal. Every single person needs an individual reward as everybody only cares about themselves and not about the game the story or anything else at all.

This CG was loaded from the beginning and set-up for the Empire to fail, meaning the Empire wont get another system and wont get control of Liz Ryder like they didnt have before. So the fact that the outcome is the status quo that many players wanted in that regard is a massive failure on Frontiers part.

They should be ashamed of themselves and give you a module or something to show proper attrition. After all its so easy to write 2 years of CGs and stories with 2 outcomes, some written some not, and please everybody all of the time, they just arent trying to please you, so it is personal.

Lol. Peeps gonna read this wrong! 😬

Man - I KNEW they were trying to mess with me. Now it all makes sense. :)

I will repeat, why only 1 side has any reward.
Frontier just show us, that anarchists victory is only way to not cut off storyline after 1 CG (or they want rebels win, after smashing previous rebells with massive snowballs), simple. They just manipulate players. Reward for only 1 side has reason.
If everyone would ignore Galnet and the Lore then this wouldn’t be an issue, just play the game not the story.

I cant get it. Whats that "rewards are only for one side"?

LOL, are you serious? I looked at that "massive super dooper" weapon and immediately thought "meh". My own rocket launchers are much more useful than this. Now a large or huge rail gun, that would be a "massive super dooper" weapon.

If anything, I pity all the noobs who equip this Liz Ryder missile launcher thinking they just earned an "I win" weapon.

I have nothing against this weapon but would be much more enthusiastic about a size 4 turreted rail gun, the gun could actually be not much better than the fixed size 2 as long as it was in a turret.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what's going to happen from the 10th onward. Expect a lot of threads asking why the CG rewards are so crummy 🤷‍♂️

I don't feel this way, because I had lots of fun and didn't take the CG too seriously. My one regret is when I took my Mamba in instead of my [redacted] and then bought a 8 million credit rebuy (a clever CMDR took out my FSD before I could high wake out), which pretty much nullified any profit I made during the CG. But I learned a lesson - save the Mamba for PvE and stick to unconventional builds for PvP.
but..but..but..for fun? Impossible!

There was a reward for both sides. It's just that the Empire reward was less tangible, more mysterious, open to speculation and interpretation. It's an interesting exercise in seeing whether the playerbase responds more to tangible rewards or more to storyline payoffs.

FWIW I was hoping there would be an Imperial victory, as the idea behind the Empire "handling" access to engineering was intriguing. And maybe there was a much greater payoff for that further down the line.

This research has been done using various grades of Decal as rewards for the % achieved, plain = 75% bronze = 50% silver = 25% gold =10% and emissive = top 10, we were most enthusiastic.

I see your narration and I like it :D
But yes, you might be right, EBM-known, relatively weak reward. Empire- who know, maybe better reward (example- USEFULL module later? Biger choice of upgrades for modules in Eurybia? More interesting story?) But now this is only speculation, both scenarious could advance storyline or cut it, for example:
empire victory:
a) cut off story- lis is guilty and killed as next 1040 senators
b)advance- new details during investigation due to questioning liz
EBM victory:
a) cut off story- investigation in dead point
b) advance-err...massive crisis in empire? 1 of powerplays characters as traitors? Provocation of empress?
It's an interesting exercise in seeing whether the playerbase responds more to tangible rewards or more to storyline payoffs.
Imo this is quite ironic.
ED players earlier: Why we haven't galnet, CG, storyline :/
ED players after get some story:Yaaay, free module, kill imps! Kill slave traders by support other slave trader!
(Maybe i'm boring, but I repeat, I was in eurybia for full week, and on chat I saw 2 main reasons for support liz:
module (but not because "great module", because "empire without reward")
empire bad, has slaves (hehe, EBM has demand on regular slaves, which are literally things, not humans, which has much worse live than imperials, but ok)

PS: I don't want decals. I just want to list of 10 anarchists commanders which I killed during war :D
