Goodbye Sally! - The TBAG & Friends Farewell Meet & Greet
And as it came to pass, yesterday evening, we had the Official TBAG & Friends Farewell party in honour of @sallymorganmoore on board the The Lawful & Vernon fleet carrier. It's always helpful to have some friends around and share the grief! So we had cleaned up the carrier and painted all the walls white, exchanging all the carpets with a more luxurious version and filled up the bar with engineer mats, including some rare ones. And finally, exclusively for this special day, the carrier's landing pads were changed to pink, as that seemed to be fitting here.
Starting from 20:00 UTC, the bar suddenly began to fill with CMDRs and there was a lot of hello and chatting. Some of them, namely @St0rmFury, were so dedicated to the cause they even got up a 4am to take part! It was really cool to see some old friends again and make several new ones. I can't remember if the bar has ever been so crowded before. The girl at the bar is Piper Stevens btw. She's been with me since the carrier was commissioned, over two years ago, and travelled all the way to the end of the galaxy and back with me and my friends during the Paul Vernon Memorial Tour. As you can see, her mind is set on business only, even though the bar doesn't sell drinks (but served a lot of other cool stuff like weapon schematics and such during the evening).
Of course we also had our photo shoot session, just as advertised. Kudos goes to Frontier engineers who made such things possible, zero problems this time, with more than 15 CMDRs assembled in a single spot and fixing the instancing issues with carriers that really riddled us last year!
And, finally, we all marveled at the pink fireworks, organized by @Craith himself, a rhapsody in pink! Well, the local authorities couldn't imagine such a thing, so my application for fireworks approval was declined, but this is my carrier, after all, and Teaka is our home, so what!
Thank you everyone who took part, and our Sally in particular for her truly sterling duty during the game's most difficult phase and beyond! May this event be regarded as a humble token of our gratitude, and hope everyone had the same fun as me!
All the best on your future journeys, Sally, from me and TBAG and all our friends, O7,
