First exploration

It has come to my attention that exploration chicks actually age quite fast and mature up much faster than other types of chicks out there , so congrats teen roster:

always rebelling... what's with the hair? A beetle wanna be from the past?

I carry an additional fuel tank, this means I can push the fuel a bit.

One of the first treks I made, I was doing the same as you, however, as my lifelong Elite Quest is to find a new (previously undiscovered) Guardian settlement (or similar) I realised, I need to check all systems that I come by, not just the ones with a fuel stop in it. I'd be furious if someone announced they found such a thing and the system next door had my name all over (it containing a scoopable star) and the one with the find in it had a Brown Dwarf. This is why I carry an extra fuel tank in the optional slots. To go through the 'barren lands'.
I flip a double-handed two fingers at the barren lands and whisper.. 'come at me bro.'

There are pilots who believe that if you run your ship on empty... you get a longer jump range as fuels is heavy. I have nevre had the nerve to try that intentionally. There are times where I forget to look at the gauge and find my self with a message that says I have inadequate fuel to make the jump. Decisions, decisions.. go back to the star and scoop or find a star within 1 light year I can jump to(scoopable of course) or in extremis... call the fuel rats.
I could be reading it wrong but it seems like you can jump around local stars that are 5ly away maybe 10+ times with the fuel it would take you to hit a system 25ly away. Like how richter scale earthquakes gets exponentially larger with each number added. Except in reverse.

If you get what I mean.

Hey Cmdrs.
Off into deeper space. Taking a line direct to Sag A for around 600ly then hang a right towards Lagoon Nebula.
May not make Lagoon tonight but that's the plan.
Thanks for sticking with me and for all your advise. Going to think about Beagle point route when I've been to Sag A

Quick question regarding this.
If I jump into a unique system would the guardian presence flag up automatically or would I need to map every planet in said system ?

As I understand it, it should show up when you FSS the system, so it should show up as a POI like a Geo/Bio site or Human base. you would then go map it to get the location on the planet.

I could be wrong and no doubt if I am, I will be corrected :)

Ok coolAnd have all these sort of sights been discovered by Cmdrs or are they put in by Frontier and flagged in the newsfeed ?

I have literally no idea how to work the FSS. I'm usually okay with nerd stuff but it goes right over my head like.. whoosh
