FIXED !! Can't reach Oculus Runtime Service bug !!

My installation of ED wouldn't go, even when I launch from Oculus (I have freestanding version, not steam, not oculus home). I did the time fix, but then reset the time to the correct time. Resetting the time to 03:00 again got it going.

Oculus have just updated their Support webpage;

https://support.oculus.com/

That's nice, but it really should say

"we failed to update a digital certificate, which we should have and is entirely our fault. We really messed up, and are deeply sorry that you currently can't use our product. We failed you. And we clearly failed to maintain basic operational control. We understand if this makes you think less of us, and we'll try to work hard on regaining your trust. At the moment, the estimated ETA of a fix is <date time>"

I hope FDev realise that this will show skewed data in their logs.. DOn;t want a roll back because I'm seen as being playing the day before the day after I was playing :D :D

God dammit, thought it was a broken hard drive since I got an IO error on it before this error. I picked a bad day not to read reddit, and now I feel stupid :(

Oh well, maybe I'll reinstall tomorrow when the cert is perhaps fixed. On my new SSD lol :D

Well... If it's 2D then it will have to be Kerbal...

But allowing a certificate to expire does not inspire confidence in their security Auditing and Life-cycle management.
I will defiantly be removing my payment details from Oculus Home.

:O

Will probably help stop me impulse buying discounted shoddy games.

How is this not solved yet? It's so ridiculous I sincerely hope heads roll at Oculus. This is unacceptable support for an expensive product. It would be classy of them to send all current users a $50 credit for the Oculus store as a 'we're sorry'. Where are they based? I want to send a complaint to their local BBB.

Menlo Park, California

Contact the Golden Gate Better Business Bureau to help put the heat on Oculus to make good on their failure.

Of course it's not working yet. Instead, it took them more than 4hrs to come up with this:

Update:
Hey everyone - This is an issue with our software certification that we're still actively working on. For security, we use a certificate to ensure that the software you receive actually comes from Oculus. That certificate has expired, and we're looking at a few different ways to resolve the issue. We’ll update you with the latest info as available. We recommend you wait until we provide an official fix. Thanks for your patience.

Good news might be Facebook seems not to be too strong in this company, that Kraken would have handled this issue way more professionally :D

O7,

I thought Frontier had nerfed it because it's different to how others want to play the game and maybe reported it as a bug due to they can't play in VR so therefore nobody should take advantage of what is clearly an exploit.

Now that is funny haha I love it bunch of cry babies.

What? This makes no sense. It only works as a point if others know what you are talking about, and not some personal stream of thought.
