Just wanted to add as well, onto the 'Odyssey Social Space' aspect, having a social space would also allow for the use of Frontline Solutions and Apex Interstellar in systems where it's not available.

A local system to us, Bakawa, has ONLY outposts and outposts only have access to Apex Interstellar. When the system goes to war, there's no way for players to fight using Frontline as the service doesn't exist for Outposts and the system doesn't have any planetary ports.

In this situation, having an Odyssey social space on the carrier allows for players to use shuttle/dropship services in systems where it's not possible to do so.
You are assuming that the carrier social space would have Frontline or Apex. I don't think they will be, I suspect Fdev would find that an odd proposition to have 'dropships' and shuttles and staff available from your carrier and I would kinda see their point. I would be very surprised if it was anything other than the bar and maybe genomics.

I'd imagine them to be more Outpost sized in terms of what they offer instead of Starport social spaces? Unless they make it so the social space is modular and you purchase the storefronts individually, which seems like a lot of effort for a team to implement.

Apex Taxi service feels like a must, it kinda sucks to not have a social space and to taxi over to your carrier.

Frontline would be a nice to have for carriers as if taxis can be used there, so can the dropships.

Pioneer Supplies or a light version that lets you stock up on grenades, health kits and stuff would be nice, not necessarily suits and weapons unless carrier owners can stock those like they can with ship modules.

Genomics should be a must similar to Universal Cartographics, if you have a Cartographics module, you should get a Genomics store.

Inter Astra makes sense to have since it's just an on-foot version of a shipyard, if the player has a shipyard installed, they should have access to Inter Astra.

And the bar just makes sense since it's the main social area that you, your friends and squadron members will all meet up.
 
I don't think the carrier maintenance is that expensive, but otherwise I agree with everything in the OP. And yes, there needs to be a social space, even if it's just bare room with no windows with only the elevators in in. Even that would allow teammates to board each others' ships. I made a thread of my own about it:

I have since noticed that megaships, at least the non-prison ones, don't have concourses either, so maybe it's coming.
