So I've been in love with Elite since the day I got it, since my joining, I've hosted events from time to time, most notably 'The Race at The Top of The Galaxy' which was hosted during Down To Earth Astronomy's carrier event to the locale.
During the ride up to the top, I had this idea brew it started off as making a bot, that posted to discord every time the carrier completed a jump.
Now it's evolved into many ideas, which we now don't have the features to make the idea a reality.
I would love to see a Squadron member rank that allows sending jump plans and commands to the carrier, when the carrier is designated as a 'Squadron Carrier'
But mainly my request here is for a further API layer, allowing us to directly send jump commands to carriers, over API, thus negating the need to designate people inside of Elite itself, and allowing those that use their own community platforms for their Squadrons, (like us, using discord).
This would allow myself to integrate jump comands into our pre-existing carrier bot.
I'd love to assist with making this a thing, even if it's just submitting code or testing the suggestion.
