Fleet Carriers Update patch 1 - Downtime and patch notes

Came on here to see what 2 things they break for every 1 they fix and have a good grumble about it but in all honesty what's the damn point. I am glad ATC is back, such a small thing but a huge miss.

For those who complain about the mining nerf ..... remember, the last time mining nerfed (void opals), we got diamonds for 1,700,000, lol .... personally I think I made more money than ever after that.
Apparently, they don't even know how to do that right ,so don´t worry.

Oh, and thanks for the 3rd (or fourth?) time you have posted that they had fixed something while breaking others, thanks for do your job, thanks anyway and for whatever (it won't be me who breaks the tradition).
I suppose it is not your fault that your fellow Frontier destroys the game in each patch and then you are forced to publish the alleged errors corrected over and over again, but being silent for more than a week does not place you as the best CM's of the industry.
It is just my opinion, I would like to know what some CM thinks sometime, with no copy and paste responses involved, and no knights involved, of course and please, those unsheathed the first critical comment and they don't work in the company.

If they rly care about balance of making money why thay dont do anything to make other parts of gameplay like bouty hunting at least as profitable as mining. Right now it looks like that devs care only if we make to much money but when other part of gameplay are practicly pointless in comparison so ppl who would like to enjoy other aspects of the game are forced to grind a lot or just force themselves to go and do few hours of mining that will last them for weeks. So I would say balance everything to around same profit and problem solved.

Unlucky me - triple the upkeep, no doubt :(

Great patch. 256 limpets spent - 89 LTDs gathered. At Col 285 Sector CC-K a38-2 LTD3. You didn't nerf LTD mining - you've just murdered it. Leaving this poopoo for another couple of years I think.

I was able to mine 500t of LTD in that same hotspot post-patch using a hybrid of laser and SSD mining in about 2 hours just fine, and I could have done it faster if I wasn't going at a leisurely pace!

If you'd like, I'd be happy to wing up with you and try mining together. Direct message me in-game if you're interested.

I spent 20 minutes mining using all methods and I ended up with 80ish tonnes. I agree it's not as bad a nerf as some might think.

Still no ability for transfer FC fuel directly from cargo to depot, and also do this remotely? Seriously, come on!

Yeah, why else do we need to hire someone to manage the Tritium depot when I have to store and refill it myself.. At the moment he/ she basically is an unnecessary middleman who only accepts donations (from me), but this could have been done by the same npc that manages the commodity market, it's not that he/ she is extremely busy anyway..

And there's also the logic of taking fuel out of the carriers storage, loading it into a ship (with nothing but cargo racks that I bought solely for this purpose) than take it back out of the ship and bring to the office of the Tritium depot manager who puts it in the fueltank.. And then repeat this if the tank needs more than 800 tonnes..

I've spent 190t of limpets to gain 240t of LTD and it's taken me about 4hrs. I will admit I have been working and otherwise distracted throughout.

Biggest thing to me is fix the bugs as fast as your nerf stuff. Wasting 50t of limpets because chunks of LTD are inside of asteroids sucks.

I'm also going to put my lasers back on because it takes WAY too long to find subsurface spots. Even though I do really like mining them when I find them. Which was my earlier complaint. The "meta" right now is laser mining, in spite of the fact that FDev have made some really nice little mini games for core mining and SSD mining.

Reduced repeat speed on market selection arrows on Compare Market screen.

I repeat from last time: this input method is a concession to gamepads, HOTAS etc, but that does not excuse the lack of a text input field where you can just type the desired amount.

Something I've always wanted that Fdev could make a feature of fleet carriers, NPC wingmates. We have crew already, 3 available slots but you can only use 1 at a time . Take that system and give them full sized ships based from your carrier. Weekly upkeep cost would make more lore sense if I have crew and ships in board.

It might come as a shock to some players but there are other players who would like the economy and credit balancing across various income streams and ship/module costs to resemble something a bit more coherent and dare I say, realistic - what we have now is a game-y exploit in a way and it should be rebalanced. It also ruins any sort of sense of progression for new players, they will just see Elite as a game where you 'mine until you get your Anaconda, then mine some more to get your FC, then stop playing because there's nothing more expensive to grind for".

The group of players who take the "I'm-all-right-jack" view are a very small minority I reckon. What other players earn or do not earn doesn't really affect my game as such (though I don't play the BGS or PP).

See the issue is that, nobody ruins the grindy progression experience for new players. Ever since the game is out, there were always people dedicated to skip "content" to get to the Anaconda. I don't understand how this is still an argument to this day. Those who wish to get what they want will always find a way to do so, and it was this way no matter what FDev did to "enchance" the experience. Yes things should be balanced, but I honestly never seen the devs doing so. As soon as there was a way to make some serious cash devs dropped the nerf hammer, and people would always bring up this "think of the children(new players" .
As for the economy... well if you want a realistic economy there is that other clicky pointy space game.
