Not to give too much away here,
But I have been doing some research. And I think that the biggest problem we are all facing is this:
We don't know how Elite Dangerous works. Simple as that. None of us do. We don't know "if" there are other ways of progressing within this "Galaxy" Their communication in this respect has been...well... rubbish.
For example, I recently spotted several systems that had references to "the seven veils" I also spotted a few systems that had -quite intelligent references to the story "Behind" the name of "Regor". So much so, that the only conclusion was was that I had to make a "Pilgrimage" to each one... Simply because I don't understand HOW to differentiate between the information-- It was literally the only thing I could do. Sure, if I didn't have a job I could get to Allied in each ten or so systems... but this is real life baby. And then... where does that get me?
NOWHERE.
Really, im getting fed up with this.
This rift is dangerous! Seriously!
I was trying to brute force my way in to the rift. From sol to the rift it was smooth flying. i thought to myself, "this is a great rift.. can fly anywhere![]()
But Brute forcing was to much for me. I knew i didn't find anything, but who knows huhI needed to be in the bubble again. Do a smugling run or something.
So lets go home! Only takes 3 days or so (oh dear).
...Or not. I seem to be stuck now. Can't get anywhereI get to systems i have already scanned and then it stops. Cant even plot a 100 LY range to get out. going in was easy! Going out......
Please help me!

1) Don't panic. Stay calm.
2) If in panic, see 1).
3) Plot using short routes, extend plot to nearby systems thereby easing the plotter to go further.
4) Change between Fast/Eco, let the plotter find the routes for you.
5) Try moving up/down. Sometimes you've got into a spiral. Spiral out again.
6) Backtrack using your netlogs.
Install EDDiscovery, http://eddiscovery.astronet.se/ it reads all your netlogs and shows you where you've been. You can add and keep notes on systems, triangulate systems, share the coordinates and then the locations shows up on EDDiscovery's 3D map, you can color code them for yourself. Sign up to http://www.edsm.net/ and get your API key so you can share your mapped data and even better sync and backup everything from your netlogs, useful if you have a crash or loose your netlogs. It can help with other things too like route planning, log your materials locations, screenshot organizing and other stuff.
Get Captain's Log and let it scan your netlogs. Then use this info to reverse engineer the course that brought you there. Good luck Commander!
Interesting,
This thread inspired me to read Reclamation and enjoy it very much I did.
The seven veils takes on more significance now. Is there a region toward or around the proposed region of the formadine rift with a cluster of seven of these dark regions? They are quiet common, even near the bubble.
I'll have a look when I log on later.
You got a link for that? (please)
anyone have like a document/website/whatever with all the clues to the Formidine Rift? If not this could certainly help with our efforts in finding this system or area.
