Wolverines are hard to find in the market, as markhors are.
I've about reached capacity with the Markhors, so I'll put up a few of those

N.B. They're a bit annoying though if your habitat is all snow, as they'll force you to use heaters and melt quite a bit of it to reach the soil, rock and grass requirements

Two males and a female Markhor up now - N.B. the BF and DF says those animals share a mum
(and I'll make sure to remember to trade any others as they become available)

They take a while to breed due to the one couple at a time in a habitat limitation but I think I have a few that I will likely send through the trade system. Are you on PC ? And online now or can be ? I can send a few now if so.

Thank you both! I managed to get a decent male wolverine. My markhors are getting a bit better, but still not even bronze.
I'm on PC yeah, just logged off. I think I'm more or less ready for the challenge now.

Okay, I'll hold off the trade out bulk to when it starts so people can start gathering the next group of breeders.
Never mind, only 4 were gold, so kept the gold and traded out the rest now.

Polar bears were lacking visitors due to the long path to get to them, so added some shops and Grizzlies en route and think I'm ready now.

Public and private habitats for all the animals I'm breeding for the challenge; swapping babies so they breed quicker!
And 3rd King Penguin enclosure just because they take so long to decide that they like each other

Still not happy with the Markhors for melting so much of my snow

Okay, think that's me set up .. I probably need to do some guest amenities fixing but the animals are all there with some gold babies/younglings around for the serious work.

Looks more artistic than mine taking the novel approach of adding trees :D
Are those double enclosures too, or just paths through the middle of bigger ones?

Big enclosures with walk throughs .. the red foxes still have some stress despite the ssh signs but definitely an improvement on without them. They seem to stress out in the same areas though, so adding a few bushes just to give them some security that doesn't involve running to the underground area every time.

The semicircle of trees was to assist the guideline of the power grid, so I knew when I would need to start adding power when expanding out of the area.

I had similar problems with the Grizzlies!
Though I think their stress was more about the people being out of reach ;)

Had to tax my building skills - not easy when the one way glass only comes in rectangles
(would be so nice if you could pick a path style that included an attached 'wall style')

Yeah one of the stress points was nowhere near the guest viewing areas and outside the range of the signs along those paths. So I just placed bushes around that area. If they are that far away from the guests, they probably can't view them well anyway so win win

Who will datamine and tell us the animals that count? xD Than I can save time with setting everything up that might not count towards the challenge

By about lunchtime, I should be able to give results on:
Arctic Foxes
Arctic Wolves
Markhors
Moose
Reindeer
Dall Sheep
Highland Cattle
King Penguins

Grizzlies and Polar Bears may take days :)

Counting (for me)

Arctic Fox
Arctic Wolf
Dall Sheep
Eurasian Lynx
Grizzly Bear
Grey Seal
Himalayan Brown Bear
King Penguin
Moose
Polar Bear
Red Crowned Crane
Red Fox
Reindeer
Timber Wolf
Wolverine
Excellent. All of the animals I set up in the Bering Strait Zoo are on this list rofl.

My contribution suddenly jumped to 5 out of nowhere

Found 1 new Arctic Fox, that ended up being the first of a litter of 5
And contribution stayed on 5 after the other 4 were born

So my working theory is that:
contribution increases for the whole litter when just the first one has been born,
even though you don't get the actual notification until the whole litter has been born

Damn, you guys have such beautiful zoos... For challenges, I just reuse the same ugly one with just square almost empty enclosures and no guest amenities, since I'm drowning in money in this one. Well, my actual zoos are not much better, and far from yours! I'm just bad at that.
I didn't pay enough attention and spoke too soon:

Markhor are not counting :(
Highland Cattle are not counting :(
Oh... Well at least no need to melt the snow anymore!
