I'm kinda like Jamie in timing regards. I like the rewards as they sit in a separate storage that I dip into when I need an animal but none on the market or the zoo in question hasn't got the funds to acquire them. I try for the podiums before slowing down and then picking up again if it looks like we might not complete it a few days before the end of the challenge. 55% with over 4 days to go looks good, but, it all depends on whether those 55% are the same elephants we need to get the next 45% in the next 4 days. Will those elephants come through for us over the next few days to complete the challenge.
At 55% we are at around the 5000 mark give or take. We know Moorwiesen did 200 of those, so the remaining numbers point to 100s or even 1000s of people taking part each with their own baby counts. It might seem to slow down as we all wait for our elephants to get back to their breeding periods and then another influx of numbers. And, then there are the people that are working on their zoos now and will have their first set of babies soon, hopefully filling that dip in the numbers while the rest of us wait rofl.
I took some time out yesterday to do some zoo renaming for the other challenge zoos I made but named differently and saw my old Zoo from way back when that I have been slowly bringing animals from as I needed them, but I noticed it has a lot of money, so, perhaps, it can be used as the purchase point for my zoos, until it's animals and money runs out and I can close the zoo. And rethinking my zoo creation system.
I have my Alphabet Zoos which are all in Europe Temperate Zones. These are my go to zoos if I need animals for a challenge.
My World Zoos which are zoos based on the real world in the wild distribution of animals with the entrances seemingly linking to their real world equivalent connection points. With each zoo roughly in the location where the brunt of the animals are and the zoo itself designed to reflect the areas the animals can be found in. These are my, I would like to create a wildlife sanctuary rather than a zoo places.
I still have some of my Zoolympics Zoos but depending on their funding needs I may slowly remove them, barring the latest one I still want to work on as I really love that one.
And then there are the Challenge zoos. I call them Sanctuaries as they are usually targetted at something specific. These zoos I started recently to put in easy mode, to aid in completing the challenge with as little stress for the animals and staff ( and myself ) as possible. I usually use hard mode on my other zoos which help me iron out wrinkles in my processes.
And the recent thought of creating more compact research zoos, allowing more species but smaller broods in smaller habitats and perhaps in continent based zoos, in some cases biome/continent zoos for areas like cough Africa where there are far too many animals to fit into one zoo without issues rofl.
