No announcements yet, but yes there are an unusually large number of tickets about this (presumably) related set of issues with the franchise server. Would be nice if there were some public acknowedgement of the issue, at least with an ETA for repairs, or an assurance of the steps they are taking. That they are probably afraid of over promising is worrying, because it suggests the problem is more than just a lack of Franchise server maintenance for two weeks.
Anecdotally, all the reports I have seen seem to be from countries that are not inside the UK: a number from the US, some from continental Europe, India, even one from a South American player. Could it be part of the problem if all their staff live and work in the UK and so can't personally replicate the problem?
Though I just saw that Xrystal is in the UK and is having issues too. It may very well be related to the number of people on at a given time, though I have yet to find a time that is completely free of the problem. My experience is that when I first log on the game seems to run okay, but within ten minutes or so they disconnect messages and trade center lag start, and once the seal is broken there they are relentless, regardless of time of day.
There are other issues reported with the expansion too, such as the gift shop feature being bugged. I have just been playing a sandbox zoo set to mimic regular play as much as possible, and it's working fine so far, but I haven't tried the modular gift ship yet.
