Coaster Crazy Frequently Asked Questions- Coaster Crazy

Wow, the new screenshots look amazing. I am especially a fan of the detail put into that giga coaster train. Good job guys.

Now Frontier, do you have any more footage of the building tool? I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in another look at it :)

LOL... Is the building "tool" just your finger...?

Seriously though, ;) To see more of the building mechanics in action would be great.

The detail does look good and it is evident a lot of work has gone into the track and trains. Really like the picture with the bamboo(?) trees in the background. There is another picture on pocket gamer that shows what looks to be a faithful recreation of a classic corkscrew coaster... I very am excited for this release

Well spotted!

As part of the development of Coaster Crazy we recreated several real-life coasters in the game as benchmarks to make sure our coasters reacted as expected. These were built to scale in a sandbox mode and then we ran the coaster around the track, comparing the velocity and g-forces etc that our game reported alongside the actual specifications of real coasters. The Corkscrew track (among other notable real-world tracks) was one of our benchmarks.

Have a go at making your favourite real-life coasters in the sandbox too!

Thanks for your comments - we have put a lot of effort into making this game, and we hope that you enjoy playing it.

i find that very stupid, sandbox should be a sandbox, not a guarded prison that requires hours of work in advance to even gain access?

Having a great time with CC... One thing that I seem to be having a problem with though is that it takes a long time to obtain the land rights? Using a 3rd gen iPad 6.01. It seems to be stuck on obtaining land rights for "Barrier Reef". Have tried closing CC and even rebooting iPad.

LOL at the alien making the hand gestures from close encounters...

OK,this is an issue that a few people have experienced.

It's extremely rare, but unfortunately we won't be able to recover your game for you. It is very unlikely that it will happen to you again though, as less than 1% of players are currently experiencing this bug and no one has yet had it occur to them twice.

Sorry that we can't be any more useful, and that you were unfortunate enough to experience this bug, but we're doing everything we can to fix this as quickly as possible and we hope it wont affect your enjoyment of the game too much!

No problem at all. The game was released the other day, so there will be, without a doubt, several bugs. It is completely understandable, and I don't have any problem starting again from scratch. Thanks for responding!

Updated with information for people that appear to have lost their save-games:

When I logged back in my save-game had disappeared. What happened?!
This is usually due to a delay in the time it takes between logging into Coaster Crazy and your Game Center ID actually 'signing in'. If you exit out of the game, log back in and wait at the home screen for the 'welcome back' Game Center message to appear it should fix the issue. This is something that we will be fixing in the future, so that the game automatically identifies your previous saved game upon opening Coaster Crazy.

Hi,

So, can this game be played offline? Most of my ipod gaming occurs when I'm on the train where I don't have wi-fi. Is there anyway I can play offline on the train? Even if it is just a sandbox?
When I try to connect now I get Server Communication Failed?
