I'm sorry the Star Destroyer.

Not that I care so much about the ship, but that introduction in Star Wars where it chases the blockade runner.... I don't think anything has ever come close to a sheer cinematic moment.

The Liberator
The Odyssey
Romulan D'deridex class Warbird
Motherships from the "V" miniseries

My favourite has to be the starship heart of gold :p
Not for the look so much as the absolutely ludicrous propulsion method :D
Tea anyone?

I loved the heart of gold in the tvseries, it was exactly how if was described in the books. A seek running shoe. Didn't like it so much in the film though.

So the original doesn't count I'm afraid

For me however the drop ship in aliens is my no1 everything about it ticks all the boxes.

1) The Liberator (or DSV2) from Blakes7 ...

Come on fess up you lot, the reason the Liberator is #1 is because of your attachment to Zen. I know myself as a kid, when Zen was failing under the corrosion onslaught in "Terminal", his last words ... "I have failed you. I am sorry. I ..." Those words absolutely gutted me that day, I actually shed a tear for a dying A.I. and spaceship. :(
