So if FD don't need more testers.....?

All emails offering something to purchase are marketing, I'm not sure how FD could gauge beforehand what you would judge to be acceptable marketing.

Oh wait, you can`t see this anyway.

I assume this was aimed at me as yes, I didn't see it. I imagine I blocked you precisely for the self righteous, condescending tone of your posts - like this one.
That's the other reason I block. I don't need to see the same replies, from the same, people, trying desperately to derail a legitimate concern about the game, with passive-aggressive comments designed to try and invalidate the post, rather than accept what the poster is trying to say, and then respond with a suitable counter-argument.
Past 10 years developers was paying betatesters, now people are morons and paying developers to do it... That's why games was better in the past and devs was not lazy with adding content like today.

Sometimes you have to slap people with the simple ice cold truth- And this does it.

I have watched the system brainwash gamers in gaming more and more and shake my head sadly. Once gamers were smart enough to say "No way!" Now they say, "How can you divest me of my cash, please?"
Braben knows it, he`s old enough.
I didn't know you could block people in these forums. What happens when you do? Are they unable to comment on your posts, or do you stop seeing their replies, or...?
You could give anyone beta access but the majority wouldn't either test it properly or wouldn't report back issues they have.
By allowing players to pay for the beta you are more likely to to get those said players doing a much better testing job and feeding back to Frontier.
Interesting but not surprising responses from mods in here.
They say "this comes up every beta...we just ignore it" which says to everyone "we don't care about the negative image this causes".
So my question is, does Frontier really need the money by charging people to help them squash bugs? If they need money that badly, all of us are in trouble. If they don't need it, then this is simple greed without empathy.
Second question is, do people not realize what ED actually is?
This is a glorified flight simulator with some tacked on activites. You can equate this to a platform like Microsoft Flight Simulator, where the entire purpose is flying from point A to point B in whatever manor you choose.
It makes total sense people are ticked at getting an email asking for MORE money after these players already spent $80 for the base game, and another $40 for Horizons which was essentially a paid scenery addon but all it delivered was the same rocky moon in various colors and a lottery style module upgrade system.
So for $120 people have a flight simulator that is feature poor, and folks wonder why a request for more money just to test additional much-needed content riles players up?
If I was using a conventional flight sim and a company said "you pay us money to help test this European scenery" I would tell them to finish it and then I'll purchase it.
Call me crazy but I'm a firm believer in giving someone money for a finished product that is out of testing. I understand some companies need kickstarters and use the paid early-access cash to fund the development, but let's get real....does Frontier really have to do this?
I think the answer is no. They don't have to, but they are anyway because people will buy it and they know it. If you guys want to buy into that, more power to you and that's totally your call, but stop stomping on players that call out this and raise valid concerns over it.
They could be offered refunds, if there is a serious need for new testers.Make the beta free now, would be unfair for all the people who have paid before
