Frontier Store

Hello fellow CMDRs,

Just to be sure, PS4 users will have access to all of the Frontier store game extras (like engine tail colors, ship cosmetics, etc) from the start, yes?

I believe I read that the commander version comes with 1000 frontier points somewhere??

If this is true, do we know if it will be accessed through PSN or do we have to come online to the store to transfer it to our PS4 accounts?

if it is anything like destiny, you buy frontier points via PSN, then the frontier store can be accessed through an in game menu

Does anyone know the conversion rate between frontier points and hard currency?

(Wondering whether the 1000 pts for the legendary version is worth it, or to just go and download the Deluxe version)

I don't know what the rate of exchange would be, differs from counry to country. But a free SRV or DVR or what ever acronym is a far better deal than a 1,000. And the gold is just paint not leaf, so no cash value.

Nameplates? I am unfamiliar with this. Is it an in-game thing or is the signature block CMDR info panel I keep seeing around?

If it is in-game, got any pics?

You can purchase different name plates for your ship off the frontier store, once you purchase them then you can apply them to your ship and write whatever you want (except profanity) and shows up on your ship. I will definitely be purchasing nameplate right off the bat because I want everyone to see in bold letters "U-96" on side. That's what I am going to be naming all my boats.

There are two types of nameplate available on the Frontier Store, one that lets you display a ship ID and one that lets you enter a name (up to 22 characters iirc)

You dion't need to take them off :). If you buy them once, you can attach a copy of them to any ship in your fleet.

Each ship has four places (two on the left, two on the right) where you can display the ship's name and its ID. Ship's name, as said, has max 22 characters and is filtered (for inapproriate words), ID has 8 (IIRC) characters in a larger font.

The plates are purely cosmetic, though - your ship's name is also shown to other CMDRs on the communications panel. But a lot of people who are playing in open use them.

Best picture I have available at the moment - paint health is pretty far down, don't know by how much, so the ornamentation on name and ID has worn off, only the lettering is still clear:
