Frontier, we need at least a hotfix patch within this week.

No you didn't. If anyone here posts anything you don't agree with, you immediately attack them and then complain in later posts once they've
defended themselves. I'm not blind to it and I'm certain I'm not the only one. The only thing you're likely to win is an award for repetitive behaviour.

Such amaze. Very salt. Wow.

Hell I've beta tested games before, and I disagree with the OP entirely.

There, thread is now considered moot by virtue of our equal and opposite opinions canceling each other out. We can all move on.

I think if I bought bread at a grocery store and disliked the way the bread tasted I would look up the company's customer support number/email and tell them why I do not like their bread. They would then probably tell me to take it back to the grocery store and ask for a refund. If I am lucky, since I already ate some, the store might give me a refund. Probably not though since the register said "no returns on food items" when I checked out. The bread company might send me a free refrigerator magnet for my trouble...but probably not. I don't think at any point I would get on a forum ran by the bread company...for people who like to talk about and consume bread...and demand a change to the recipe. That's just me though......maybe the devs actualy do read forum post?

More or less, you gave us DLC that's unplayable (it's coming close to the GPP version back in July of 2015). You had one year to test this DLC on Xbox, which I doubt you did or the QA department didn't do a great job... at their job. Coming from a Beta tester by myself, this is sad from you and we expected more.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and ask... what about it is unplayable?

I too am a gpp player, as are many on this board, and I think, even in its current state the game sublime. I am always seeing something jawdroppingly beautiful or enjoyable. There are occasional lockups and minor hiccups, but they are minor, and I'll hazard a guess that none of us on this forum have the talent to make anything as awesome as this game.

Frontier
Not many people want to talk about this subject on this Forum due to 'lack of voice and censorship.' So why not, I will have a go at Frontier.

Frontier, we need at least a hotfix patch within this week that more or less fixes small issues that are happening now, while a somewhat larger update comes out in the next week or two that fixes the larger issues at hand.

I tweeted ( https://twitter.com/azgoodaz/status/739529175610970112 ) at Frontier Dev, Frontier Help and Elite: Dangerous to try and get an answer but after waiting, I guess they don't have the answer to anything.

Based on your numbers, you probably had A LOT of players drop in player count, refunds have been completed by Commanders who gave up on you, and you probably have lost trust in future DLC updates with the community.

Me personally, if you came out and said "We are delaying the DLC, and launching it on June 9th or 10th so we can patch out a few bugs," I would be completely fine with that. But you didn't, you went for the money and just released it.

Censorship on feedback? Alrighty than, I guess we have whole different meanings of it. ;)

Hotfixes come as they are required. We cannot on-the-spot release a patch/update, it has to go thru QA processing at our office, testing the fix -> back to engineering to fix -> back to QA, then it has to go thru approval over at Microsoft's QA team for the XB1 platform. As a beta tester, you should know, that takes time.[smile]

When reading your tweet, I can't help but wonder, "Any news on a hot fix update for Xbox One? 1.6 gave us a ton of bugs. Please :|" - Please do list the ton of bugs that are ongoing? If it is not reported here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=145 - QA cannot diagnose and have Engineering possibly fix the issues reported.

As for our player counts, they're doing quite alright. Haven't seen this large scale drop in populations that has been stated on the forums and elsewhere over the months/years.

Thank you for the beautiful response!

I hate:

-Vanishing game licences
-Pixellated dashboard blackouts
-"Quilted space"
-Incompletable missions
-Buzz crashes

I love:

-Elite: Dangerous Horizons

Relax, OP, and I don't mean that rudely. It's only been out for one weekend, give 'em a little time. They know it's broken, they won't leave it this way. Look at how quickly they fixed the broken AI guns.

The game is not "unplayable" at all. Yes it has bugs but there are temporary workarounds for them. The worst that can happen is that occasionally you have to log out and back in. That's hardly unplayable. When I think of the Witcher 3 for example, which is a one year old game patched to death, yet a lot of times it just doesn't let you save your progress, well, I don't think Elite is that bad. We have problems, yes, but the situation is not nearly as bad as some people describe it to be. Also, I trust Frontier that they're working their ...... off to fix the bugs we experience. I'm sure there will be a patch very soon, this or next week. And as time goes by things will get gradually better as they have even more time to adjust and fix things.

Whining has never helped anyone. Submit bug reports, support tickets or what you need. The devs are aware of the bugs and they're working on them. But it takes time. Until then the game is definitely playable even though the experience may be rougher than before. I'm sure pilots who survive in a galaxy this dangerous can cope with it. :)

There is no contest. I already won, if there was something to even win..

+1 Loci :)

Yes, my friends list has had a slider in it since 1.6 has released, it's busy even in Less populated areas. Bugs happen in games of this size, hell you ever see a bug free X-series game?? Scale wise it's a huge game, if 1% of bugs slip through, the bigger the game, the bigger that 1% appears. It will get fixed, I have faith in that. I actually tip my hat to Frontier for all the time effort and work that has gone into this galaxy we run riot in.
