That’s what I did (half-a-billion) and will likely do a load more now.Gotcha, thats a no go for me. I can transfer assets to PC using carrier without any help from Fdev and without destroying my console CMDR. So that doesn't appeal to me at all.

I think its like 60% of the carrier? I don't recall.. I had enough after transfer one of the first things I did was buy a carrier...Same difference once you’re up and running on the new account - just a slightly different number of credits that you start with (can’t transfer the cost of the carrier itself!)
I have transferred 10 billion between my friends PS and PC accounts using a carrier. Fdev literally screws players on their assets for an inferior service apparently based on what you said.l

Edited for clarity
I’ve been parallel PS / PC for a few months now so have paid for ED twice and Horizons (PS) and Odyssey (PC) once each. I’ve got a good amount of playtime out of them, though, and don’t regret spending the money or - personally - feel like I need any cash out of them.Anyone with a license for the game on any console platform should be given a free PC license for Horizons, with complete access to everything that was part of the related account; all cosmetics, all CMDR information. It's not like any of this stuff has any scarcity attached to it. It can be conjured as easily as I can write down stats on an AD&D character sheet. All Frontier would need to do is not try to gouge their former console base for stuff they've already purchased.
Its really notEverything everywhere says it is impossible to move over your CMDR with all the things you mentioned. Im not going to hunt for it as I have tried extensively. If you have some magic answer please share. I'm skeptical naturally but can investigate after on my own.
This post and 1000 comments would be rendered pointless if this is magically possible.
that's just because FC's have to be liquidated before the transfer can be done, since they are present in all instances of the game (pc, console, horizons and odyssey )I have transferred 10 billion between my friends PS and PC accounts using a carrier. This.Again to be clear: It's not about money. I would buy the game again. Its my time. My 3000+ hours is worth way more to me than the price of the game.
I totally get that. I felt much the same way. To be honest I saw this coming as far as consoles were concerned, it was inevitable. So I put together a plan, liquidated my Xbox account, and executed it. Started in January, and now I still need to get my combat rank up again, but aside from that I'm pretty much back where I was. Engineers and such done.Again to be clear: It's not about money. I would buy the game again. Its my time. My 3000+ hours is worth way more to me than the price of the game.
Happy for you, and at least you aren’t vindictive like the other person was being.I totally get that. I felt much the same way. No reason to waste energy on such a thing, and in the end I made the decision to go with a console for a while, no one forced me. I suppose in the end, I'd rather spend time solving a problem lol. Just who I am.Happy for you, and at least you aren’t vindictive like the other person was being.
At this point I really do think FDEV at least need to offer something as an option … even if it falls short of covering everything.
I understand that some consoles can run MSFS2020.The PC I used to think was the dog's Bo***cks for running Flightsim 2004 could not hope to run MSFS2020, that's tech and software advancement.
and what? Force them to work? That's called slavery.maybe we need to let the console companies know how we feel about Fdev Fing over the console players maybe they could put pressure on Fdev
have them remove elite off there console store.and what? Force them to work? That's called slavery.
To be fair, making a full account transfer from one platform to another can and very likely is MUCH more complicated than any 3rd party tool is doing. For 3rd party tools, the platform doesn't matter much, because the output is still the same regardless the platform. But the game internal systems/server must handle more - for example handle squadrons memberships and ownership, name collisions, transfer all the related data and assets and so on. On top of that, for such transfers must be proper systems made so in an ideal case players can transfer the account via an automated tool. All of that is a non-trivial amount of work.Inara knows everything I own but Fdev is somehow incapable of creating anything from this data. SONY does not own your player data from the game. It is on Fdev servers.
Again its about effort. They could do it. Will they? Who knows.
