There are about 400 billion star systems in both the real-world galaxy and the ED gaalxy, which is why ED is marketed as having a 1:1 full scale galactic model.
But it is "only a model", for the most part. There are about 100,000 "real-universe stars" whose data has been copied across into the ED galaxy, most of which are the big, bright stars in the vicinity of Sol, the superbig, superbright stars a bit further away, and a few star catalogues for which reasonable estimates of distance are available. Real world astronomers have great difficulty in accurately calculating the distance to a distant star because we are sitting here in this one solar system, we do not have "binocular vision" to get a good measurement of parallax beyond a few hundred light-years.
Most of the ED galaxy is procedurally generated - these are not real-world stars, but "fake stars" which only exist in the ED galaxy. These stars "fill in the gaps" where the imported star database contains few stars, or none.
So, for the specific stars in Newbie Space. Newbie Space was a "late addition" to the game (it did not exist when I started playing in 2015). Now, you need to know that the way that ED's star-creating algorithms, the Stellar Forge, work, it was virtually impossible for them to simply create brand new star systems. So for Newbies to get their playground, they had to find available real estate in systems that were already in-game. Rather than lock-out pre-existing star systems, they took a cluster of uninhabited stars and put new colonies and space stations inside those systems.
Of the ten systems under Newbie Space permit-lock, six had Stellar Forge procedural names (names like "Col 285 Sector XB-M a37-1", which was formerly the name for the Orna system), so they have no real-world existence. Three of the others had "star catalogue" names, so they do have real-world existence. The last system, Dromi, was formerly named "Manu" (I don't know why they thought it needed changing); "Manu" is the name of an ancient Babylonian god and is not currently the name of a real-world star (though there is an asteroid named after him). I don't know if the original "Manu" system in ED was a procedurally-generated star or a real-world star that got renamed. But the three remaining stars that definitely have real-world counterparts are:
