Title: Independent Researchers Discover Unknown Probes
Description: In a new twist on the ongoing mystery of the Unknown Artifacts, independent researchers have discovered Unknown Probes orbiting a number of Ammonia worlds in the vicinity of the Pleiades Nebula. It is believed that Cmdr ilo of Canonn Research was the first to find a 'free-floating' Unknown Probe around the 8th planet of Pleiades Sector KC-U B3-1.
On analysis of the transmission of the Unknown Probes, Cmdr Muetdhiver discovered that the probe is transmitting information about the planets it orbits. Using Merope 5C as a reference, the probes transmit information about the radius, temperature, gravity, and atmospheric composition.
Prior to the discovery of these Unknown Probes, they had only previously been known to be transported by Federation Navy convoys near Ross 47.
In the light of these fresh discoveries independent scientists, including Canonn Research, are demanding that the Federation reveal what they know about the Unknown Probes, where their convoys are bringing them from, and to confirm the meaning of the mysterious 'spectrogram' image.

Recent articles published in the Imperial Citizen may have inspired an act of violence in the Cemiess system over the weekend. Commander Nodus Cursorius of the Chapterhouse Inquisition reported a transmission from Commander Salomé of the Children of Raxxla indicating that her ship had been attacked and boarded by forces unknown.
A transcript of Commander Salomé's distress call read as follows: "Heavy fire.... mayday! Imperial markings! Traitors... shields are down, we're taking damage.... it's... I thought I sensed his arrogance! How dare... We're being boarded. I only have moments. Please get word to the Children of Raxxla... tell them I have uncovered new information. The Rift, Hawkin's Gap and the Conflux are somehow connected with strange happenings in the Pleiades... they must find out before...."
At that point Commander Salomé's transmission was silenced and, despite a thorough search for wreckage, no sign of Salome was located.
The Imperial Citizen recently indicated that Commander Salomé is, in fact, none other than Senator Kahina Tijani Loren of the Prism system and seemed to imply that she may have engineered the events that led to her family's death in order to position herself from least favorite daughter to heiress of the Loren family dynasty.

The Children of Raxxla has announced that the ship of Commander Salomé has been attacked and boarded by ships with Imperial markings on them in Cemiess.
Commander Thorn of the Children of Raxxla said: "We received a Mayday call from Commander Salomé. We lost contact with her shortly afterwards. We think that Commander Salomé is still alive and have scrambled a search and rescue team."
Commander Thorn continued: "Commander Salomé must have been on to an Imperial secret. The editorials published by the Imperial Citizen on Commander Salomé must have been propaganda to justify the use of violence on her."

It's a hardline ideology which developed in the imperial high society and can be dormant for years, even for decades, before it becomes active and dangerous again. We strongly advise against any kind of support for Emperors Dawn, as their hardline stance makes it a high risk, low profit gamble at best.'
However Emperors Dawn is not the only enemy Denton Patreus has.
His role as admiral of the imperial fleet makes him a strategic target during the current federal-imperial tensions.
It is also unlikely that Archon DeLaine forgot the role Denton Patreus played during the Pegasii War.

After the crushing defeat of the Empire at the battle of Pleiades Sector IH-V C2-16, Sitakapan Expeditionary Forces (SEF) commander General Ani Leonard has put out a call for Imperial loyalists in the frontier to rally against future Federal incursions.
"The Federation has shown itself to have the capability and cruel tenacity to reach out as far as the Pleiades Sector to put down opposition to it's expansionary warmongering. Federal extraction of meta-alloys and unknown artefacts from the sector can now go unchecked, and the ramifications of Federal weaponisation of these substances and devices could be dire to the galaxy. Following the success of the Total Recall race back in April 3302, the BRC have once again been contacted by a leading manufacturer of SRV tyres to help fight a series of lawsuits being made against the company. Pilots from remote and inaccessible settlements dotted around the human bubble are claiming that their new range of TrakMark tyres have resulted in the destruction of SRVs after driving just a few short kilometers away from their homes and are not fit for purpose. It's up to the Buckyball Racing Club to prove them wrong.
The race, which starts in the Cernobog system, runs from the 27th August until the 4th September. Commanders interested in taking part should check their local community events forum for further details.

When he recovered he apologized for his lapse in bearing, “I'm sorry but these accusations of 'Unwarranted Warmongering' are both baseless and ridiculous.”
“To start,” he continued. “Task Force Athena tried to convince the Imperial Senate we were going to develop EMP devices utilizing a recently discovered feature of the Unknown Probes as some sort of WMD. As if we would use such a thing when we already have perfectly good devices of HUMAN origin. Then proceeds to reportedly join the 13th Legion in using these devices to conduct a dirty bombing of a civilian target in an attempt to strike fear into Federation citizens and supporters.”
“Then you have Lavigny's Legion. You'd think a group that claims the Emperor as their only authority would conduct themselves according to Imperial Values. Instead they loudly proclaim they are responsible for the terrorist actions of firing indiscriminately on anyone, regardless of true allegiance, that was running supplies to the Federation. Instead of having the sense to be covert about it, they declare open war on anyone who isn't Imperial and denying the Federation to strike fear into people. All this while loudly decrying the Federation as a warmonger. The irony would sink a cruiser.”
“Finally in spite of Federation response to these acts and the Empire's silence, independent groups such as GalCop support the Empire making the claim that “Upon closer examination, the Federation has no basis for it's actions in the Pleiades Sector.” Well 'upon closer examination', Galcop needs to review their own ethics playbook because it seems to have missed the fact that the Empire struck first.”
