I believe eddb.io is broken -- the "Only Populated Systems" selector is stuck on "Yes", and the nearest populated systems are indeed beyond 105 LY. But if you look on the Galaxy Map in-game you see a crap-ton of systems within 80 LY.

Found something. I don't think it is of any relevance to the puzzle but I am sure someone will find it interesting.

Found a Comms Control among some wreckage about 15km away from the Penal Colony.

Just got the 4 logs and the "Unusual Encrypted Files" from Serene Harbour. I'm going to head back with a wake scanner and check out the high wake as well as andy's other tip.

No High Energy wake and no wreckage to be found. Flew straight up from SE and no wake. Sitting at 56.6607, -9.0300, 14.6km from SE and no Comms or crash

I have never seen the "high energy wake" but the Wreckage is definitely there.

Myself I am somewhat disappointed it wasn't a breadcrumb search like what you can find with some of the listening posts (in the Maia system for example), tracking from system to system, picking up partial clues from each location until you get enough to triangulate the location. you know, actually have use your brain to get the solution and not just brute force a solution.

To me that would be much more fun and could easily have stretched the full week.....

<cough> since we're in nitpick mode - is that true? Palin is now at a "normal" base in Arque, so unless the CRCR are added to outfitting when Palin unlocks they might* be available from the start.
