Galnet & Twitter: "an unknown vessel needs our help!"

I saw it, I just didn't have a wake scanner.
Best thing to do is go back with someone who hasn't been there before and see if it re apears

I had one and I approached in solo but there were no other ships in the area when I arrived, so it was probably just a random.

Mind you, didn't the events for this happen weeks ago?

Well landing on the prison colony landing pad didn't make anything open in the complex.

Even climbing onto the roof of the "Processing" building didn't help - no way inside and nowt to interact with:

Anybody got any other ideas?

I tried shooting the various doors, as well as investigating new and exciting ways to get jammed under / in things on all of the roofs I could get onto.

I had a quick brain fart of "I wonder if they will setup a new base in the systems we donated the NMLA during the CG?"

Anyone had a tour around those systems yet?

It looks like it's not a unique layout - I was following listening posts near Maia and wound up at an abandoned penal colony that looks much the same, except it's not sunk as far in the ground and you can see that some of what looks like low walls at Selene Harbour are actually bridges between buildings.

(Important safety tip: do not turn on the emergency power at abandoned penal colonies with anti-ship turrets on the walls.)

This does make it look like the prison and logs were all there was to find out there after all. Somewhat disapointed the article doesn't even mention the theta group, nor the supposed capture location of said group.
Nor the access to disable codes, nor any of those other "details".
Could it be the Galnet article is there as a pointer telling us to 'keep looking'?

I would say that this event has concluded and there is nothing else to find

What I do like though is the open ended way it finished, they have introduced a group/character that appears to be capable of some serious shizzle
it's all building up quite nicely

Its about time we had some Archon Delaine level people. Archon cheese wired someones head off with a razor whip according to the in game lore :D

Has anyone checked yet if there's maybe something odd/new in the Marlinist systems? The NMLA might consider regrouping and even recruiting there...

Can't understand it. Imperial security forces usually don't need to be so clandestine.

This is a place where shooting senators you don't like is considered acceptable.

Something's up.

EDIT: as Ian D mentions elsewhere: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/cg-predictions.556536/post-8932239

Pretty easily explained to be honest. This isn't a "Empire vs its enemies" situation where they can proudly say "screw it, we'll do what we think is necessary to protect our interests".

This is one (or more) senators probably trying to dispose of the Emperor in the long run. It's infighting.

So when there's something going on the Emperor has no knowledge of, they won't publicly admit that there's a splinter group including high ranking Imps trying to usurp the Emperor. Instead they close their eyes and simply say "Nah, can't be true. You're all hallucinating".
