Game Freezes/Crashes when doing anything in a Wing

So the last couple of weeks me and 3 friends grinded our way to cool engineered ships. We were planning on spending this Easter weekend playing ED together in a Wing, doing massacre's and stuff.
All this time we were able to play normally, although up until this point we'd only wing up with 3 people maximum. Now we're playing with the 4 of us (or at least, trying to), but the game just constantly crashes. Black Adder here, Purple Cobra there, and sometimes the game just flat-out seems to glitch.

Please see this short video on what happens. It seems like the ED brightness goes to 0% (didnt even know that was a thing) and then the game just freezes with a black screen. At that point, my wingmates see my wing portrait as 'Destroyed'.

Could be your graphics card overheating, give it a good dusting.

That would be an odd explanation. If my graphics card was overheating, the issue woudn't exclusively appear with Winged gameplay. I've been able to game hours and hours straight with no issues, just when we Wing up it goes wrong. So a overheating GPU doesn't seem to be the issue.

poor bandwidth low tier rented amazon game servers that this game uses would be my guess...……….(it is a one off payment not subscription)
as long as all wing members are upnp enabled on routers and or port forwarded there is nothing you can really do about it
except maybe try a vpn and a wired cat 5 or 6 to router (get all wing members to uninstall GeForce experience whilst your at it)
