I did read the post, and I disagreed with the assessment of the title itself given the post content.

Again, the nature of "sarcasm" wasn't clearly inferred by the OP.

Moral of the Story - If you want to clearly communicate, then clearly communicate. Else, don't blame others for how the message is received.

Here, here! We have but one way to communicate on this forum. Through written language. If you intend sarcasm, use an emoticon. Else what you say must be taken as if you believe it is serious.

Have some virtual rep. I'd give you real rep, but the system won't allow it. Says I must spread rep around before giving you anymore.

If people want to communicate with a private group that understands sarcasm, by just using a tiny bit of subtlety, then they have that right. If they want to communicate with everyone Openly, they have that right. Hell, if they want to talk Solo all on their own by being so obtuse nobody understands them.. They have that right.

People demanding communication should be Open-Only is an outrage that I cannot abide.

And I can't abide accusing someone of not bothering to read a post they commented on because they didn't get the sarcasm, which wasn't very clear as sarcasm.

From my point of view, the OP was so obviously sarcastic, it wouldve been ridiculous for them to mention it.

I could attribute the misunderstanding to utter stupidity, but id prefer to assume it is due to "cultural differences" and leave it at that.

It is NOT dead.. its just so full of unfixed bugs it may as well be.. I keep coming back to check if those bugs are fixed.. but the bug fixers are so caught up in the Beyond hooplah they forgot to look after the basics of keeping an existing customer base happy....oh but hangon.. we already have their money... who's next...?

I was going to bring my ships out of storage but looking at all the latest bugs that are bugged on top of the other older bugs.. Hmm well maybe not..
Does anyone want some cheap rusting ships..they come complete with built in bugs..?? Offers?

It may have some bugs in it, but there are going to be bugs in any program. You can't design and build a system such as this without them. Well, I guess you could. If you could live 30,000 years. Cause that's how long it would take to find all of them.

In any case, I am still having a blast playing ED. It could be better, sure, but it could be a HELL of a lot worse.

Oh, please!!! Endless pain at having all those paint jobs stuffed forcefully down their throats? Guess what? You don't have to buy paint job one. No one is forced to buy paint jobs. Just as no one is forced to purchase expansions. Sure, you don't get the added content if you don't purchase the expansion, but you don't get anything unless you purchase it. Why should they give expansions away, that cost them money to program, for free? And paint jobs and ship kits and name plates and such are COSMETIC only. There is no advantage in hit boxes. And guess what? They tell you this on the site where you buy them. They state it very clearly.

So just get off your "endless pain" and "stuffing things down our throats" high horse.

I really thought, the over the top, ridiculous exaggeratory choice of words would have made my intentions clear - and the emoticon being part of this.
