Game is now GARBAGE

ha ha, we're in the same boat i see. i just removed ED's icons from my desktop so i wouldn't be tempted to launch the game any more

just finished trying to cart some cargo from one system to another one jump away. 750Ls to the station. kept on getting interdicted. over. and over. and over. the same elite anaconda every time, lots of messages from the cops, but they never showed up. if they did show up i might have had a shot at fighting him off.

did i die? no. was i able to successfully run and escape each time? yes. did i have fun doing this? none at all.

i do not want to have to buff my 200t or 400t trade ships so they are now combat ships with only 64t cargo space, if i want to fly a combat ship i have plenty of those in dock.

every interdictor is elite, without exception. that's just ridiculous. i lost count after the 15th interdiction, slowly inching my way to the station. when i asked myself "why am i doing this?" for once i didn't have an answer.

The answer was 'because I didn't high wake out of the system and then jump back in' by the way. Same as the answer to chain interdictions has been since I started playing the game last year. Hope you see this in a few months when you come back.

Oh and you may also want to consider not flying directly along the shipping lane from the star to the station because that will reduce your chances of being interdicted to begin with.

(I realise you didn't actually ask for help and just wanted to rage, I'm just a helpful kind of guy.)

Distress call lvl 2 threat, what do I get? 2 anaconda and a python (master/dangerous), and cannot outrun them before they somehow manage to destroy my A rated Python with 2xA0 rated shield boosters each with engineer upgrade which should be +20% on both of 'em
NPCs flinging missiles like D-Day barrage (and yes I DO have a point defence unit)
And how the hell have their weapons got such enormous range?
and other variations on such stuff have made gamne unplayable for me

from a 55 million credit I'm now down to 9 million iirc in THREE DAMN DAYS!

Threat levels are WAY off
how the hell can my well geared ship keep getting smashed?
how are these pirates getting such over powered gear?
and why do I BOTHER TO PLAY YOUR GRIND <AWESOME> ?

Enough is enough, this game can go to hell until they fix it.

Come on, that's sophistry right there. It's clear what the word is supposed to be when you use asterisks, is it really so hard to just not use that word and use another one which isn't swearing?

I want to say just one thing. Casuals are problem of every game. So.. WHO is a casual? It is a person who DON'T WANT TO PLAY game. He want that the game open everything for him, help him with everything, don't force him to do anything. Casual don't want to learn anything, don't want to be good, better, to improve something. He think he is VERY good ENOUTH. Always. Everytime. Basicly these ppl every time post something like..

I think you don't understand what exactly i mean. Casual is a very lazy kind of person. He don't want, he can't.. If games start to be hard, he probably will whine and yealling "game is broken!" but not even think about how to win a game. How to improve something. That is what i am talking about.

I think just as Gluttony has distilled the attitude of the crowd that advocates for the playerbase to hone their skills, you my friend have distilled the attitude of the crowd that claims the game has become unfair and that Fdev should nerf the NPC's back to previous levels of incompetence (or even incontinence in some people's view).

You have researched what the levels mean, right? As far as I've read, level 2 is "This will hurt"

Well every single game requires some level of understanding of its mechanics. If someone is not willing to try to understand even a basic level of the games mechanics, then there's nothing that can be done.

If a player doesn't care to understand even the basics of the game they're playing, then they're better off doing something else. I don't mean to sound snide, but there's just no other way to put it. This is valid for games and pretty much everything.
