I'd bet on internet meltdown.
Well, it will defo be fun to watch.
HBO are talking about starting some spin off shows... But without George R R Martin writing deep labyrinthian plots and characters, we are just left with tweedle dee and tweedle dum who wrote seasons 7 and 8.
The Spin off's will be terrible.
" Didn't seem right for this moment." - i can see why G.R.R. Martin left this show so early. Working with this kid of people is just impossible.
They always are, tbh. Not always badly written, but always bad in terms of characters they're about.
The problem with a spin-off is that they take a character people like and write around it, but changing the character in the process.

But GOT was great up until Season 7. Because we had George's work for the show to be structured around. He wrote Game of Thrones to tackle tropes in fantasy writing.
But once we pass book 6 and hit the shows home grown story continuation, tropes start to work there way back into the story... with that ending. I think alot of us honestly thought GOT, because of how it started would end as it began.. fans honestly thought that Bill and Ben could finish this show with a great ending.
The fact that they couldnt, instantly demonstrates to me (at least) that any spin off show made by HBO has a HIGH probability of being very poor compared to the GOT original material.
If D&D managed a great ending, then maybe any HBO continuation of the franchise would have had a shot.

That's foreshadowing that Daenerys is actually Sarah Connor who came from the future to destroy Skynet before it comes into existence. She got her math wrong. How's that for subversion?
The iron throne is going to transform into the Terminator. He's going to kill Cersei, Dany and Jon and then ride with Tiryon into the sunset on a motorcycle.
It's going to happen and writers will be happy about it because nobody expected that. And that's all that matters.
Oh, good one. I completely forgot she was in that show. It's gonna be a struggle of Sarah Connors.
My fan hypothesis is that the Night King is actually a T-1000 and the next episode will show his parts melt and reform...then he'll take revenge on Winterfell while most of the main characters are away.
It's the best of the Terminator franchise, post Terminator 2.

I'm enjoying series 8 but I have several issues.
1. I'm annoyed the whole white walkers battle is over. I've been waiting all these years and it's done just like that and everyone just moves on.. it's an anti climax.
2. I'm not ok with Sansa stating her abuse made her who she is. Firstly because yuk. That's a uncomfortable statement. Secondly.. it wasn't GRR Martin's plan for her character as in the book it isn't her.
3. It's become too predictable now there's no books to follow.

This season and it's predecessors, as GRRM has handed more control over to D&D has got progressively worse, with characters doing full on 90 degree turns in regards to town they're handling situations.
Stannis is still the worst example of it IMO, but Danerys is going to probably come at least a close second if this continues.
Kind of worries me they're doing a star wars trilogy after this too.

It's interesting how a trained assassin who can sneak through the army of zombies to kill their king can't find a way around a collapsing building.
One would be almost inclined to say it was lazy writing done just for effect.
Dragon being finally badass was nice, though.

I haven't read the leaks, but I watched some reviews of the previous episodes and they said that the leak that has the script of the final episode was 100% accurate in predicting 3,4 and 5, so there's no reason not to believe it when comes to the conclusion.
It's kind of funny, because when this leak first came out, everybody dismissed it as trolling because it was so bad and didn't make any sense.
What a crapshow.

They should have stopped when they ran out of the book material and forced George to bloody finish the story instead of this.
