General / Off-Topic Game of Thrones

Oh, and one other thing, I have never revealed my favorite character since season 1 (it was good old Ned), because if I do that George RR murderer will kill them.

Brian :)

I just hope george takes less than a millenium to write the winds of winter the waits between the last 3 books were horrible. I started reading after a storm of swords. and there was 5-6 years between every book after that you had to re-read all the books before you purchased the new one just to remember what was going on........

:edit: he's even worse at getting new information out than Frontier :D, the last info we got on his website about the winds of winter was January.....:

watch out for that george martin,
with his beard and beady eyes,
for all at once you'll turn the page
and everyone will die

Whilst I did enjoy all of the books I definitely think that they lose a lot of direction in books 4 and 5. Although by the end of Dance of Dragons you begin to see hints of why those 2 books seemed to faff around for so long.

Agree 100%... as far as I've gotten anyway. It's taken me as long to get one quarter of the way through book 4 as it did to read all the first 3 books!

I've read the books, and know whats going to happen (I'll never tell!!) but I still cant wait to watch the series!

I've read the books as well and - thus far - I've been happy with the way the series has actually managed to make the story _better_. I hope the trend continues for the lesser books (4&5). There's enough text in them to make three seasons, but not enough content to do even one.

Can't wait. I read the books too but it get's blurry after a while. I must have binge reading syndrome :p

BTW, why doesn't George R.R. Martin use twitter?
Because he killed all 140 characters. (Hey yeah I know it's old!)

I watch it and like it, but I don't think it works too well on TV, there's not enough time to fit everything in and therefore rushes between stuff, can be very confusing for someone who isn't au fait with the books.

I am in love with the dragon woman though, one night with her and I could die a very happy man. (the character, not the actress)

I've not noticed this. Many people who have not read the books seem to be enjoying the series without getting confused.

And I'm happy that they are not including everything, especially as the "fluff" in the books 4 and 5 will be only more prominent.
