Game Option Solution to Unwanted PVP

Also not interested in magic laser care bear mode either. The game modes that already exist are sufficient.

If you don't want the risk associated with open you've got solo and private to play in.

Or, we can have somethig like this:

Come on guys, we don't have to invent the hot watter. If FDevs wont to implement PvP/PK sistem, they would have already iplemented it. Obviously, they don't care about players interactions.

In my mind that (your link) would be a horrible gamey intrusion on Open play.
I am all for safer areas, but these areas should not magically prevent pvp in Open.
A station in general is a safer area, because it enforces a more law abiding behaviour with violence.
This mimics the real world.
But it is not an infallible method, just like the real world it can not magically enforce peace, love and general cuddly behaviour.

I would like to see a more interesting, dynamic way of dealing with crime implemented in the the ED universe.
For example players who kill multiple authority ships should discover that they are not just wanted in the system they committed murder in, but also in surrounding systems. They even might become wanted in an entire jurisdiction of a Power, or of the major factions (Empire, Federation, Alliance).
High level NPC Bounty Hunters should start hunting them.
Player bounty hunters should get better tools to track down criminals too. I think this would be very exciting for player pirates and bounty hunters alike.

Bounties for killing (npc and players) should be at least double or triple or quadruple of what they are now.

Solution.

In Main Menu you have Open Play Option as before for the Full ED Experience.

Environment Option : IF selected, then any damage inflcited by another player is Null. SO a PVP griefer can fire on you all they want, can ram you all they want but it does        all... Game enforced Mobius values.

Done.

I assume you don't want any player to be disadvantaged?

1. What's to stop 3 PVE flagged players and 1 non flagged players combining to ruin the game for open players by using an unfair advantage?
2. What if a non flagged player hits a flagged player with kinetic weapons - does he lose the ammo?
3. What if a non flagged player hits a flagged player with kinetic weapons - causing additional heat does the heat get removed?
4. What if a non flagged player hits a flagged player with kinetic weapons - heat damage now causes ship damage what happens?
5. What happens to the hostile flag?
6. What Happens to the police response?
7. If the non flagged player rams a flagged player does the non flagged player get damaged?
8. what if a wing is half and half?
9. what happens with frame shift locking?

Not done

Yay! A new rage thread!

*popcorn popping*
*beer opening*

Despite this topic getting beat to death I find it quite enjoyable. Let's all rally behind pushing FDev to include a "No PvP" flag in private group setup options, along with a better set of administrative controls and multiple tiers of administrative permissions for multi-member management of said group. Wooo!

Leave open alone.

Blue shielding will become a problem with a toggleable mode, its been done and seen before, I have to ask though, what do you mean by "PVP Griefer" because those two words are mutually exclusive in my mind, a griefer being someone that attacks someone that is so far below them in combat strength that they have no chance, but that doesn't mean a trader getting attacked by a pirate is getting griefed, that's what pirates do, but a real pirate wants cargo, not you blown up and will act accordingly, so yeah, I do wonder.
