same here only had one slight judder and that was lining up to the station. Other than that have just had two very smooth trips

From DRY411S
"More generally, selecting ANY destination in the Galaxy Map in open/solo play is not recognised in the sensors/cockpit view. We ALWAYS have to go to the target panel navigation tab before we can Supercruise/hyperspace anywhere (unless we happen to find it out of our cockpit view and target it).

Must be on your end I have no problem Selecting a System on the Galaxy Map (Select as Destination clicked in the hovering bars), Then Leave Station etc and Engage Hyperjump when aligned with required System.
Works every time and always has, even when you only had to click on the destination System to select it in the map.
.
.
Been working nice and smooth the last 3 hours on 1.04 in Solo.

i am stuck in a system with a few systems that i cannot jump out off. I really want to get to SOL. Which ship has the biggest jump?

You will need to upgrade your Frame Shift Drive to a Class A rating. Upgrade your Lifesupport so you can have 25 minutes of oxygen reserves in the event you need to power down. Modules consume fuel. Maybe amp up your power distributor and power plant. Slap on a fuel scoop. My hauler is able to jump about 22Lys. You might also want to throw on one of those on-board repair devices. Good luck.

thanks i might give that a go

Sorry, but I really don't think this is right attitude for a minor change log. Yes, all of your points might be relevant. But do you think the devs are not aware of the plethora of bugs that remain? Why is your first reaction after some bugs have been fixed not to appreciate those fixes but instead moan about those that aren't there yet? We get the updates in such a high frequency now that you can't expect all the bugs to disappear at once with just one patch from gamma 1.03 to 1.04.

Oooooo, get you. :) (in a camp high pitched voice)

Don't let it get you down, we are merely advising the devs what still needs fixing, we paid good money to be a part of this, we've every right to make sure the games becomes even better than it is already. Now go comment elsewhere.

Nice Update

I don't know if it is just me, but I have noticed a significant speed increase. It was playable before, but I found in station menu navigation was quite slow and would sometimes freeze for a second or two. None of that happening now.

I've only been playing a week and only have minimal time to play, managed to get a couple of hours in tonight and I'm getting addicted!! Really takes me back to the BBC B and Amiga days :) Got a full day off tomorrow so I feel a session coming on .....

There are far too many easy games around and I'm glad to get back to a challenge, hopefully some younger gamers will spend the time to understand what Elite is all about ... work hard, get rewarded.

On another note, spent 10 minutes trying to evade a NPC attack ... just managed to escape by shifting power to system then engines and flying like a mad man waiting for jump drive to engage ... only 16% hull left, but got away ... love it!!!

Interdictions are server side balancing issue, and Sandro said they are looking at it (they have confirmed issue with with interdictions happening close to each other and also no ship interdiction.

Platform direction, and sudden movement is known issues for long time, and are in fact artifacts of wilder networking issues, named island syncing. Expect this to happen till release, when they will turn on island health mechanism again.

Thanks dude! It's good to have positive feedback :)

Yhea I feel you, getting dragged out of and getting attacked by an NPC when you are just NEARLY at your destination and being destroyed... Or just managing to escape can be oddly satisfying.

I am pretty sure this is really important for some people, but I don't get why you don't first fix critical things like proper handling of DirectDraw Surface Lost errors. It's crucial for any game to do that. Without it, it's impossible to Alt-Tab back to the game and continue playing after the Nvidia driver forces the game to drop to desktop after it finds out something went wrong and recovers, whatever the reason. Which, needless to say, currently happens after 5-15 minutes each time I try playing ED.

You're lucky. I don't have an alt-tab option when the card crashes like that, which it does every single time at the rotating-ship loading screen and always has done. It leaves the game .exe as a background process that has to be closed manually, so there's nothing to alt-tab back into. One day I hope for a fix to this one but since it seems to be related to this specific Nvidia mobile card, I'm not expecting anything soon. I just don't get to play ED on the Nvidia card and that's that.

I'm hoping v1.05 will bring in some more Britishness. In particular, I'd like an automatic communication every time two ships pass each other in a docking port where they say "sorry" to each other, even though they cause no inconvenience to each other whatsoever.

I'm an expat Brit in the USA and don't get to experience much Britishness these days. This one really made my day, thanks! :):):)

Is there a way to simply wipe my own game play clean and start from scratch? the reason I ask is that I haven't had a single bit of help getting a SINGLE mission since the gamma 1.0. Not one. No strikes against me, not wanted or anything. Just ALL MISSIONS are UNOBTAINABLE. I can't do ANYTHING but fly around. I have no credits and can't earn any either, can't even sell cart. data. I want to just wipe it all clean and start as if it's the first time. Is that possible?

In 2 out of 3 mining belts, I crash as soon as I get close to an asteroid.

But a few belts are actually fine.

Belt 5 in Duanta works without crash, but the other four belts cause me to crash. So what's different about belt 5..?

Sadly for me, its 100% repeatable.

And why is your Crash Reporter a modal window, forcibly being in front of everything else on my desktop? Do I really need to watch while it uploads?

Yes - just go into the options screen and select "clear save". You can then start a new commander and pick your start options again.
