Just go into the Graphics setting XML file and set VSYNC to false - worked for me.....

%appdata%/Local/Frontier Developments/Elite Dangerous/Graphics/Display Settings.xml

(I think, that was from memory though, so it could be wrong....)

I went and had a brilliant idea.

I have a SLI setup, and sometimes well, things break.

So if you have SLI, try to set the SLI compatibility bits in nvidia inspector to 0x00000000.

After that, the game started fine for me...

/me blames crappy coding or drivers...

Crashing as soon as the game menu tries to load for me, was working fine in Gamma 2.00. It's probably my turn to start having issues though, I haven't had one since alpha! :)

Yeah I have this too. Cant even get to the menu to select anything. I'm making the assumption the servers are still not ready before I raise a ticket

So Disappointed. 2.0 Broke my game. After hours trying to get on, I eventually did, took a mission, the transaction disappeared so I had zero cargo space, and couldnt drop or sell the cargo. Couldnt even ditch the ship. Cleared my save to start again, but crashed on launch over and over.

Now 2.01. Still crashing on launch. Very sad.

Not had a chance to play since gamma 2.0 now getting tiresome..constant "crash reporter"! Abandon all hope those that.................(add want you think is appropriate)

I'm getting crash to desktop as well now (crashes after displaying Frontier logo screen), was not getting this in 2.0, in 2.0 I was getting freeze/hang on wireframe ship loading screen which if I was persistent and kept trying it would eventually let me into the game. Now I can't even get to the menu screen due to the crash to desktop on loading, great work, go from bad to even worse, do you guys even have a QA Team there? Or are you using us as your QA Team?

For those of you suffering this issue, this worked for me. Go to the C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics Directory open AppConfig.xml in notepad. Edit the line <VSync>true</VSync> to <VSync>false</VSync> and save the file.

Genius, this works for me as well. Managed to get as far as the menu at least with V sync set to false.

Mine's already 'false'. No joy....

My game froze at the spinning ship screen so I guessed there would be an update pretty quickly as it was a known issue. Upgraded to 2.01 - Still happening.
