Patch Notes Update Gamma 2.04 incoming

my opened issues so far are:
1) index.html can't be loaded in the game launcher causing no Ads to be displayed
2) inside orbital stations - from time to time the landing pad "holo display" with the number disappears and comes back after few seconds.
3) from time to time when leaving SC the sound (both music and sfx) break for a second

anyone has the same?

2 and 3 yes.....

1) Sounds like a feature.

2) I see this fairly regularly, it also looks like the billboard slices of the landing pad numbers need to have Anisotropic Filtering turned on as they blur into nothingness from oblique angles.

3) I occasionally get this when I destroy a vessel up close, the audio crackles, distorts and then regains it's composure after a few seconds.

i just got a ticket reply that the "holo" numbers issue is being worked on...

Red Kite, i had a similar issue where the only way i could finish the mission was to go to the alternate destination suggested by the ship in the USS
 
Still the blank screen when started up the client. Netlog shows its connected but then the application seems to stall.
The single player combat training starts up just fine and you can do tutorials.
 
Hey Edward thanks for the hard work and the patch but could we please have a word about the total mess that trading seems to have become?

im seeing a lot of threads about the markets and also finding it frustrating to the point of quitting play as none of the in game tools are even remotely helpful any more for a player with months of trading experience to be finding it next to impossible to trade does not bode well at all for the huge number of new players we can expect in the next few day.

at the moment it seems completely random and surely this can't be F.D's intention?
 
any 1 ells can't buy any equipment anymore?

as soon as i try to move a step down i can't select anything any more.

i found that with the mouse i could get the back button to light up and indeed go back, but it doesn't work for the equipment it self.

This is turning into a frustrating update.... scratch that, it already is.
 
I'm getting a lot of 'transaction with server' error messages that cause crashing in hyperspace. I ticketed earlier.
 
Is it just me, or did that "mission balancing" severely backfire? Because I'm now hopping around Sol, Barnard's Star and Ross 145 (or 154?), all major stations, and barely get any missions at all. Currently I'm at Miller Depot with an empty bulletin board.

Same here, no missions available and I have tried 2 different star systems now.
 
Well done team, keep up the great work, more play for me when I get back from work, love it, sights set, interdictor interdicting, cobra purring, voice attack telling me how good I am, move over pirates, I'm coming through ya.

I have noticed the holo docking bay display issue. ( GeForce GTX 660 on Win 7. )
 
2.04 fixed all my issues

Hi everyone,

Here's a nice Saturday treat for you - Gamma 2.04 is on its way. Here's the change log:

The servers should be down from 2PM to start the update process.
  • Fix for crash in comms UI trying to access objects not yet created
  • Fix crash when finding any star in the "Skull and Crossbones Neb. Sector"
  • Fixed a possible path that would cause the game to crash in hyperspace if an overlay unloaded for some reason
  • Make sure we pass the distance contract string through the localiser
  • Fix an issue with planet classification which should fix the issue with missing stations
  • Fixed a problem showing unexplored planets and rings in the in system map
  • Balance mission type ratios
  • Fix permit and rank missions
  • Prevent assassinations asking you to kill people from their own faction
  • Fix for planets spinning too fast
  • Fix for intersecting binary planets
EDIT - a server side change for you, too.
  • Fix intermittent transaction errors on hyperspace jumps

I don't know which one of these "fixes" solved my problems but solve them they did! As a result I certainly WILL have a lovely weekend. Thanks so much for all your hard work.:D
