Patch Notes Update Gamma 2.07 incoming

I've never been a troll, and I don't wish to be perceived as one at this late stage, but... Seriously FD, trading is very broken - we need this fixed before launch to avoid a similar press that X Rebirth received :( To clarify 'broken' I mean the lack of profitable routes due to (reading FD posts) overactive npcs and the inaccurate/downright misleading routes presented on the galaxy map. I'm a trader by nature from Elite in '84 through Frontier, First Encounters, Freelancer, X series and Eve. Since Elite has always been about the trade/fight/think/choose sandbox paradigm I really would expect this to work on launch day rather than be posted about for weeks with no real response.
 
Wish there was more time before the launch. Some of the guys at work were trying to wind me up about the fact I got the Beta and they saved £15 pre-ordering.

They are sick to their stomach now as I tell them how amazing the game is. They are dying to get on and I need more time to build up my ships. Any advice on this anyone??

Whats the best ship people are tooling up for Dog Fighting??

BTW is the 2.07 patch done yet??? Come on chaps and chapettes..

You can wait inside the menus and will get notified when the server comes back up so you can upgrade.
I leave it open in a window and do my work while waiting.

Michael already commented on this that NPC trading has been tuned down with gamma 2.06. It will take some time to feel actual effects though (most likely tomorrow). Also they have commented on this some time ago that they think NPC trading is guilty one. If that's true we will see soon enough (there are little anything else to blame though).

I'm very much a trader too and there's plenty of profit to be made. I find it better just to ignore the trade routes on the galaxy map. You'll find plenty of other profitable routes if you go out exploring. It'll be interesting to see how much the prices adjust and how long it takes after the last update.
 
What about rebuy cost being suddenly much higher than before 2.06? (Possibly the various backer discounts broken - since everyone who can already play has at least the 25% beta discount?)

Insurance discount just applies on the cost of the ship, not modules. We pay more now, ostensibly to even us out with the newcomers. I'm okay with it.
