Yep same here, unable to connect to server.
Audio went crackly after accessing galaxy map, issues selecting system map from within galaxy map but works ok from side GUI. Had a quick look around the founders area and the system map for sol.

I was also curious about start options, I seemed to have duplicates, KS versions and standard versions with little or no difference (imperial bounty hunter and KS: Imperial Bounty Hunter)

Nice so far, hope to get back in later

I'm not. I said that this would be an ongoing problem back before Beta 2, based on my experience with other eagerly awaited online releases. Release hour/day is always a server meltdown. Always! Servers are usually only optimized for nominal usage and studios/publishers skimp out on bracing them for absolute peak moments, because these are very rare and accounting for those short-timed events is just too expensive. Some people didn't believe me back then. ;)

The forum is collapsing under the load as well.
 
i'm in but everything is achingly slow. trying to accept a mission and it's been stuck on standby for 5 minutes.

to be expected!
 
Of course we crashed it. Insane amount of people online! Up the bandwidth! The forums as well ;)

At least i got to get a look at the founders system, brilliant.
 
The first gamma build will be released in a little over an hour. People will be kicked from the server shortly . Here is the change log for the build:

- Playable area no longer restricted to beta bubble
- Playable ship Python added
- Playable ship Orca added
- Kickstarter starting ships and locations added
- Freagles added
- Capital ship events added

- Fix crash following docking and accessing starport services
- Fix for multiple input devices not working - for example pedals and throttle from multiple input device controllers
- Chances for USSs increased
- Fix for cargo hatch not ejecting any cargo when malfunctioning
- Workaround for AMD white lines issue
- Check to make sure the target is this machine that this machine is ready to receive authority
- New games account for fines, bounties, and permits
- Added missing text strings for Federal and Imperial missions
- NPC Comms in Another Castle Unidentified Signal Sources should now only display the new target destination rather than listing multiple destinations

yes but it crashes when i try to load it... the first time i tried i pressed to get to the serface and it said unable to connect to server now it will not even load
