Yes of course there will be the final big wipe in the sky...for all of us. It's the ONLY way the game can be initiated on an even playing field for all.

Too busy reading forums, has it been yet officially confirmed that there will be wipe after Gamma?
I think exploration is never gonna pay my fuel bills to Earth (unless I strike lucky), so can I wipe my save, start with other KS starting location near Sol?

I made it to Sol with my Eagle. I am in the space station of our moon right now
It was 80LY away and it took me about 15-20 jumps. Had to zigzag to get there.
LOL - I'm so far out (120 LY from Dahan) that I probably won't find anything populated until Xmas ... must have been something I posted in the forum... finally found a hauler and starting to make some credits.
first impression: compared to beta 3 (didn't test 3.9 tho) it sucks. i get fines on my head when someone attacks me and i shoot back, i get interdicted all the time (which itself is already a criminal act) and fat ships like the asp turn as fast as a tiny sidewinder. no, it's absolutely no fun this way
btw: where can i see what i own? where can i see where my eagle is parked? i bought E: D near the end of beta1 so i should have a free eagle i thought?

If I understood Mr.Braben correctly, your download will be accessible coming wednesday, as stated in his final speech yesterday evening.
Oh no, another 3 hour download shortly after a three hour download on Thursday..
I have a 1mb/s connection and it took me 10 minutes to download thursday's update and about 2 minutes to update on saturday

Well $42 means you didn't actually purchase access to the beta so it's kind of logical you don't get access yet
don't mess up the currencies. $ != £
42£ should be the game including beta access iirc
Have been playing for a couple of hours today - its awesome and getting better and better after each release 'settles down'.

I didn't preorder I'm a Kickstarter backer.
How did you get eagle? I started in a bad place i think. trading not really possible. ship buying limited, no high tech only agricultural refineries. I explored a system mapped over a dozen object but did not sell till I had system crash and seem to have lost all data. shipyard says i eagle in a location but can not even find it in search galaxy map, and can not do many systems from current location with only sidewinder. so cant get to it anyway
Well yeah, but I have friends who had beta (have access) paid 40 punds (have access) and some who also paid 30-42 pounds and do not have access.
Something's a miss here, maybe some sort or random lottery or random access, or what...
Nope, my 42 pounds do not entitle me to Beta, I just read somewhere that "if you pledged KS and have game you should have access to gamma"
