Patch Notes Update Gamma update 2.05 incoming

Can not get into solo or open either, but I can get into training.

I tried the upn change and validating game files. Changed upn back to 1 also.

Nothing works.

I have done exactly the same and have the same result. Nothing seems to work at the moment.

Latest patch left the game unplayable (can't log in, tried both open and solo) , endless spinning Cobra with the world's most boring music.
Hope 2.06 fixes

I don't really deal with the launcher but I thought the game installed wherever you installed the launcher?

For some very strange reason the game installs into C:\users\name\AppData - and there isn't a way to change this. The Launcher installs to wherever to choose, but the game directory itself cannot be changed and is always AppData.

This seems to do the trick!
Additional:
Started with Open play, do not exit the session/client (EliteDangerous32) completely, just exit with <esc> and select "Save and Exit to main menu". The goto solo. Works, ok, now back to trading....

This worked for me coupled with the config update, playing atm

Wow, at least for me switching to Open Play started it right up. I could then exit and Private Group where I normally play also popped right up. I have not fiddled with any Upnp settings and the game itself has never been installed anywhere but where the betas plunked it down.

I really hope Frontier has a smoother launch day because a lot of the same issues keep creeping back into the forefront.

Sorry, but the game is nowhere near ready for release on the 16th, too many old bugs and too many new bugs appearing.

What sucks is yet another release from FD on a weekend - what are they like working such long hours? Sheesh!

Also what sucks is yet another release with a 100mil credit present to help me on my way back to an Anaconda. Still maybe in 2.06 eh?

Hi all,

Could those of you who are having a problem loading into game where you are getting stuck with a spinning ship change your AppConfig.xml from

upnpenabled="1"

to

upnpenabled="0"

and try again, and let me know if that works for you.

Your AppConfig.xml file can be found in the same place the Elitedangerous32.exe resides.

Happens if you plan release day based on bank balance !

Game need at least 4 month of intense beta testing and after that 2 month of balancing.

But thats todays business:

The worst thing about the spinning ship issue is the lack of any communication from FD. So what happens, we all moan and complain, the thread gets longer and longer and we start think that FD are a bunch of amateurs. Come on guys a short message, "Sorry we messed up, looking into it" and then maybe closing the thread, and opening another locked status thread, would go along way to calming the rabble. For now you're just missing in action and we don't know what the hell is happening.

This plus running in Open instead of Solo worked for me. Neither worked prior to the edit.

... but Solo is still borked.

ok, logged in, changed pnp settings few times, trying solo/open few times

the problem is that now I'm stuck in Hyperspace.

last 3 minutes I'm in hyperspace, last 2 jumps took longer than normal, I'm in open play.

The game is installed on my drive D.
As for the appdata/common folder it just has the config files.

you sure when you run the installer you picked where you wanted elite installed?

tryed. solo not working. private without problems

Brilliant, worked for me, had to create a private group and then I was in with no problems
