Getting use out of those X52 extras (pic hvy)

Thanks Vingtetun for your profiles! I have tried using them and have had success with the ED setup but not with the X52 pro file; in the instructions, you wrote:

'the X52 PR0 file goes in
c:\users\public\documents\smarttechnology Profiles'

I am running windows 8.1 and those directories just don't exist so I am struggling to work out where to put that file. Will keep trying though and thanks for all the help you are giving me and everybody else!

Thanks again for sharing the profiles, I was able to test them extensively. However I had to make some modifications to so I don't have to change my habits ;) I was able to name all the buttons in profiler software so now I will never forget what every button does. I also assigned some controls that I always use to control the galaxy map. If pairs nicely with Track IR :D

Could I try that out?

Hi I have just got my new X52 Pro on Friday, and I have been trying some personal made profiles but I have not got as far as messing with the modes yet.
So I have been going through the forum and found this thread.
Vingtetun, would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the profile you came up with with as it has multiple modes and I'd like to try these out, and see exactly what I should be doing.

Does anyone have the thumbstick mouse 'nipple' on the throttle working in game?

Or the the middle mouse wheel thing? I can use the button but not the wheel up/down.

That's in Windows 8.1.

I love the X52 (have the blue/grey version) and It's been a faithful companion for many years, but for the magnificence of Elite Dangerous, I'll be getting a Devkit 2 and a Thrustmaster Warthog as a christmas gift to myself!

For anyone wondering, I got this flightstick for under a 1000,- Nok (Norwegian Krone) which is about.. 120-140 USD so, and after almost 6 years, it still hasn't failed me. If you're looking for a GREAT stick for the money, I really recommend it, but for me I think that Elite deserves an upgrade from Japanese durability, to German Quality. (Vorsprung durch Technik, if people understand the reference)

Got my profiles thanks Vingtetun, am going through it just now and can hopefully merge the bits I need/want with my current X52 (non-pro) profile. I'll let you know if I make any changes that I think are worth mentioning.

How do you set tresholds to the slider? I´ve been messing around with settings but can´t get it right.

Aargh.. Ok, sorry to be a pain about this but the X52 Pro profile doesn't load at all for my X52, I wasn't expecting to be able to use it but was hoping it would at least show the bindings and macros/thresholds you had setup for the mode switch and the slider to get the radar zoom and the various flight modes that you have working, I was then hoping to be able to manually reproduce them on my non-Pro X52 profile.

Unfortunately the profile just loads in blank and having looked at the code in the profile itself it looks like the key bindings are stored as hex values.

Is there any chance you could either describe how you got the mode switch and the slider working or post/send me some screenshots of what you have in your profile.? I realise it's an inconvenience and appreciate you might not have the time or inclination but you don't get if you don't ask huh..!? :D

Thanks Vin. Got your message, awesome. I´ll "testdrive" and see how that profile works for me. Gonna give some feedback when I get familiarized myself with controls. Been playing with a bit different bindings :)

Oh... and have some rep :)
