"Git gud" is a term that needs to be stamped out of existence.

To find some new approach would be innovative. On message boards? Using proper spelling and a decent grammar.
Too much to ask I suppose. After all it is the internet (insert random meme).

Well, not sure if you have been catching up with post-modern philosophers but the idea of "Argue and Obey" advocated by Kant is going out of style, and its flaws have been pointed out quite vividly.

I actually support Kant to a certain degree in that regard, but not completely.

Though it seems like you're very Kantian in your approach.

Non-sense. Trading will be made easier in high sec systems by the stronger police response. Already in 2.0 high-sec is very safe for non-combat players, and it will be even safer after 2.1.
Those who don't enjoy combat only have to stick to safe neighbourhoods, as it should have been all along.

I'll believe there's an effective "police response" when I see it. I'm not a believer based on the history of ED. Basically your response is of the "this is our pew pew game, you wimps stay in your corner" variety.

Let's replace 'Git Gud' with '' then see if people want to have a cry about it, otherwise I'll just spam and you'll be none the wiser.

LoL: league of legends - a mod of a real time strategy game with extremely simplified maps, less units and other gameplay choices to make it more accessible.

CSgo: Counter Strike in modern. Counter Strike being the game those gamers played who hadn't the skill for Quake and needed a slow paced game.

:D

I play the games that have the players, not sure of a modern day Quake lol

how about "good game well played" (or in the context of ED if RPing - "you may have lost this fight but you fought well CMDR, see you in the next life") regardless of if won or lost?

Please do not tell me you also condone the T bagging, and dragging out killing moves on gears of war as well?
What ever happened to friendly competitive games?

it is the above kind of attitudes which push many gamers out of "competitive" game modes (like open) in ED. its not always the loss of the fight but the attitude which sometimes go with it.

Generally ill saw ggwp but 90% of the time they've task killed the game or combat logged before I can.

There's high profit trade routes with 0 interdictions (in the last 30 runs or so).. I don't expect any in the next 30 or 300. Security rating works for npc spawns.
You do have to find them, however. Trade tools barely help with that.
Will pm you mine if you have difficulties finding one.

And I'm not philosophical, I'm pragmatic. You go and mock that guy with the tree trunk arms. I like my teeth and language and social skills that help me keep them. :D

This is fine...for people who enjoy combat. For people who are here to spend their limited free time enjoying trading commodities or exploring the galaxy or whatnot it's wasted time. The problem with the "get good" types is that it's strictly about pew-pew chest pounding, and dismissive of any other way people might prefer to enjoy the sim.

I too enjoy trading and exploring... and knuckle dragging pew-pew chest punding fun. I understand the option to wing with chest pounder types isn't available in solo. In solo, NPC wings for hire, Escorts, drone fighter interceptors, whatever, maybe coming soon, give it time.

Do practice discretion as a part of valor.Starting out I didn't fight much and learnt how to survived. I fled, I shamelessly Sir Robined, and showed more tail feather then too. I traded with systems that have high security ratings, where the system authorities reacted relativity quick to piracy interdictions. Learnt how to high wake and low wake. Cultivate a friendly reputation with systems. Avoid Anarchy systems, war zones, Learn to ID potential pirates, typically they have a single name, that sound like well, like bad breath, like Melegaris for instance.

Be ninja, be the sleekest, the slyest, the lightest of feet. Run, dodge, low wake, high wake. Turn, spin, dodge, spiral, break, break like the wind bkrownd... and run. Cause a wolf will take ya if your not. You have seen Air Jaws, right? Seals don't just say oh look a baby meko, how kawaii X). Its Oh My god why what a huge shadow.... RUNNN Clem run, while Clem is thinking I just have to run faster then you Jimbo

I mean, if Frontier have buffed the AI, surely it's fair to assume this will apply to the police forces as well. And since they're looking at crime and punishment, it's again safe to assume they'll fix the bug where the police is currently not showing up at all. So although I'll agree with you that Frontier haven't got the best track record, it's not like making the police show up and show up faster and with bigger guns based on security level, which they have said they are doing, is a very complicated system they will fail to implement.

Basically your response is of the "this is our pew pew game, you wimps stay in your corner" variety.

I'm at a loss there. I thought that making some places safe and other places less safe was what most people wanted (including me)? So at a fundamental level, it does mean that those who are interested in combat and have the skill to pull it off would gravitate towards lower sec systems, while those wanting a more relaxed experience would instead play in systems where they're less likely to engage in combat when they're not prepared for it. I just don't understand your attitude, isn't that what everybody has been asking for? A game where everyone can have specific corners tailored for their tastes? Wanna trade safely? Go to high sec where the police will protect you at the price of lower profit. Wanna make fat credits and are ready to take some heat? Pick a python and provide supplies to anarchy stations, where no regular trader would risk their hide. Wanna try out bounty hunting but only have a starter eagle, or only one free hand? Hunt petty thiefs in high sec. Ready to step up your game? Go hunt pirate lords where they live.
Also I must ask you to reformulate that post of yours. I don't think anything in my replies to this thread, and my posts in these forums in general, should make you think I'm calling "non-pew-pew types" wimps, be it in spirit or in letter. In fact it would be quite rich of me considering I've played every occupation in the game and made one third of my money via exploration.

Indeed. As I said previously, security status already has a big impact on peaceful trade. High sec systems are virtually pirate free (speaking of NPCs of course). Most problems people have with NPC pirates are because they don't pay attention to what they are doing and fly through low and medium sec systems.

Yes, a variety of experiences is good. High security systems are a minority, which is why it sounds dismissive. Pardon me if I misinterpreted. Even much of the bubble is no-security.

Git gud is just another way for people to say "you noob". Except git gud for some reason is more acceptable since it's just a passive-aggressive insult rather than a straight up insult like "you noob".

A lot of uneducated kids today use 'git gud' because they think it's a new term, a new way to express themselves, something they can call their own... when they fail to realize that 'git gud' has existed for a long time... as "L2P". It does amuse me though to see new generations of chocomilk drinking testaments to the failure of an education system come into their own and try to make their awesome ways of insulting people.

Everyone who uses 'git gud' are simply noobs who need to L2P before they add a new level of stupid to an existing insult and throw it out there as if it was there own.

Soon they will come up with another word for 'troll' and think they have revolutionized the internet.

Sit down, stop touching the keyboard and finish your chocomilk kids.

it more accept because it hasn't entered the general gamers population lexicon, I never heard of it.

I disagree that only good players will pick on weaker players and tell them to improve, I'm not a strong player at all and most people probably could kick my      in combat but I still tell people to stop moaning and try to improve their skills instead, I will keep trying to improve mine.

I'm more of a Zapdos fan than Moltress, because you could start with Charmander to fill the Fire requirement, and Blastoise can learn ice beam to fill the Articuno role.

My fav is Articuno, but I already registered the name and I didn't want to start over ingame.

Charmander was always the best starter because fire was much less common than grass or water types.

The best thing about Zapdos is the relative lack of weaknesses it had and it got better moves than the other birds. Articuno is still my favorite though :)

I stopped taking charmander when I realized that Ninetails beat it out in every category except for DEF and HP. Even those are close.

That's why Ninetails is my fav. That and it's a goddamn majestic pokemon.
