I wonder if they would consider giving the python an SLF in a betta to see if all these naysayers are right or wrong...
What is the downside to it having a SLF? I really can't understand the hate.
Isn't that a bit like suggesting we should give the Corvette another pair of C4 hardpoints cos, y'know, it can already mince any NPC with the 2 it's got so fitting another 2 wouldn't make any difference?
No, it would be like giving the Corvette two extra small pulse turrets. Do you really think SLF's make ships OP?
Hutton Orbital sells pythons that have an slf fitted, but it was 10% more expensive to buy, compared to a regular python.
This is dumb, honestly. In Fact ,, any ship with a class 5 slot can fit an SLF, if you have one that is, certain ships are not allowed to install an SLF purchased, but if you have one already purchased for another ship, a gunboat, for example, you can trade it to any class 5 slot, just have to adjust your power needs as well. I have done this several times with my class 5 slotted ships.
they are just a bit of fun, very handy in certain situations, but that's as far as it goes in my case.
Rather give it a better Frame Shift Drive.
Let's make the python great again.
With that said, all ships should have some form of external fighter. And the scale should go from two SLF'S for large ships, one SLF for medium ships, and a drone fighter for small ships.
