I'm out and about around Colonia, currently, and have been doing quick exo-bio tours from Jaques Station. (space madness sets in too quickly for me)
Haven't really explored much around Colonia proper...mostly been grinding credits for a potential FC purchase. But this gives me some ideas about re-basing my current campaign somewhere other than the Colonia system. Tir sounds nice for the occasional on-foot mission between stretches in the black.

That's what I've done with my alt account too.
I'm based at Colonia Dream in Ratraii, as it was the best I could find outside of the main station.
I've found it way easier for exobiology out there than near the bubble by the way.
