Wow, #17 out of 1000+.
Did you have any idea back then of what you've achieved now?
Or was that always the plan?
Back then I knew ELWs were special, but I had no clue how to actually hunt for them..if I stumbled upon a blue planet I scanned and crossed my fingers...lol. I still remember that trip, I didn't even know about the forum here, had only the most basic of ideas as to what I was doing....E rated PP...heavy shields...extra fuel tanks...weapons...huge AFMU and tiny fuel scoop..and barely enough cash to cover a rebuy. I had absolutely no clue what to expect. It's a miracle I made it back.
I set off the other way, from the bubble to Beagle Point...
....Iv planned for a couple of months now that if 2.3 didn't turn up anything interesting & FD continued to move the story lines along at a snail's pace, that I would make a return trip to Beagle Point.
Fed up with waiting for FD to flick the switches (been there before with Jaques) & introduce something to the game other than '...best is yet to come...' statements, so yesterday set off back to BP.
Hopefully I'll be back in 6 months or so, when the lore of the bubble is much improved - though may have to plan more trips!
