Got my first Colonisation Payment

Building a Extraction and Industrial Complex now.

Is it delivered automatically? I was disappointed that the guide said, "Taxes ... can be redeemed by vising an administration contact." Is a physical pickup not requred?

All I have is an outpost and I got 21,000. Strange, I wonder if there's significant variance week to week, or if the type of outpost makes a big difference? Or if it partly depends on traffic from nearby systems (so lots of inhabited systems nearby helps?)

IIRC my outpost is scientific, but I was unfamiliar with colonization when I picked the type so I might be misremembering. It's inside the bubble rather than near the edges so there are a lot of inhabited systems around it

Oh I know; I dropped off about 60,000 credits of exploration data at the outpost, probably before the tick. I might be getting a cut off the value of that transaction?

I've got a Tier 3 starport and I'm a little confused about the payout as well. Doesn't matter since I have a theoretical maximum improvement plan.

Interesting:

This is from two otherwise identical colonies. The difference is I built the 24k on the 2nd day of launch, the second, I just finished yesterday.

So I can only assume the amount isn't a single weekly "tick", rather, it's an aggregate over time, and you get paid per day rather than per week.

From this information and how long this TrailBlazing thing has been happening, It really begs the question - is this game your full time job? Or maybe you're retired? Or you don't sleep?
EDIT: Just saying I'm jealous as it's take me 4 days (2 hours a night) just to get some steel and other stuff together and I haven't even found a spot yet...
None of the above - tbh since the update I played around 4h a day and a bit longer during the weekend. I was jumping into the system with FC, given the jump times of 1:15 I was scheduling jump back right away and then hauling. 792 Cutter with decent jump range also helps with collecting less "bulk" materials.

I think I'm going to have to do weekends too, by the time I start in the evening and sort things out the actual play is quite short, especially with the 1 hour plus wait for moving to a trading system.

You have a cut down Cutter lol, I too have 792 'units' of storage Cutter, no shields, just reinforced modules and heatsink launchers. After 3 years I still haven't succumbed to an interdiction, though many have tried. I'm going first with an orbital outpost, was aiming higher but it just ain't gonna work...

I have 60000 pop and got 436,299 credits. I had my first Coriolis completed last Thursday, second Coriolis on Wednesday, and in between, 4 x ground facilities and 6 x space facilities. System score 47.

I'm actually not 100% sure. I didn't specifically see my balance go up but then I don't monitor it that closely. I checked all the contacts in my system and there were no options to collect. Hmmmm. Anyone see the credits go into their account?

Hmm my score was 21 so:
+4 wealth
+3 Tech
+8 development
+11 standard
+6 sec
Sum is 32, if we subtract standard of living we get score 21.

Hello,

The return of around 15,000 to 200,000 for the massive effort required to expand the system is very manageable.

In my eyes, it's not worth it. Are there any other reasons why you should set up such a system with
stations at all?

Regards

Interesting that there's apparently a "Happiness" component to it. That'll need some further investigation...
Very interesting. Makes me wonder if it is part of the new feature or if the new features is capitalizing on a behind the scenes mechanism.

....wait nevermind... I think that was visible in the squadron panel.
