PvP Griefers are seriously making me consider quitting

It doesnt work: what if they are in Solo. What if they are in PG? Or they dont instance with you. Or they log off when you log on? Dont think of ED as a typical MMO, the game isnt designed that way.

Good advice, but it's not naming & shaming. Killing other CMDRs is what Harry Potter does, we all know about that. There is nothing shameful about it.

Don't mind to lose ship in PvP encounter because I was asked to give cargo and I refused, or I attacked ship which interdicted me, but I don't like getting killed because of no apparent reason (no requests, no communication)... this happened to me once, so I can feel how this is annoying for those that "experienced" this more times.

having played in SOLO for most of my time, I switched in open when I went exploring and meet first CMDR about 1000k ly away from bubble... much more civilised encounter I must say. Since then I play mostly in open so it was a matter of time to stumble on "pirate" cmdr I guess...

Now every time I see a FdL flown by CMDR, I expect same manners... no offence ment to other Cmdrs flying this ship but it seems to be a stereotype....

How about starting a vigilante group, not a "private group" in the ED game mode sense, but a group of people you have as friends in ED. When you get griefed, message them, and they can come looking for revenge. If ED's policing mechanics/penalties are not strong enough, then start your own. Same as real life . Probably need discord or some such to set it up, complain about infiltration etc.

Easier said than done.
