Does this need to be updated? I followed a YT video..."GUARDIAN FSD BOOSTER - Unlock Guide | Elite Dangerous 2025" by Dituri's Elite

It's dated a year ago, so I thought it should be relatively current, but I'm not so sure now...

If I need 21 of each Power Cells and Technology Components, not sure how a 8T cargo will work. Does only one of them use the cargo rack?

Using Odyssey, I followed it through fine till I got to the Guardian site and the towers/spots he said to get items are not the same as the location I'm at. Most of them are there, but some aren't.

I got the Guardian Relic, killed all the sentinels, and tried over and over to get the relic to drop in the triangle hole on the platform. It simply won't go in!

I tried positioning like he said, no go, and several more positions, still no luck. The two columns registered charged, and countdown timer runs, but the relic just won't go in, so it times out.

So I'm stumped.

Any ideas? Is this tutorial even still valid? I've read some comments that Odyssey is bugged, but Horizons works. Is that even true?

This is turning into a really big hassle!

you have to drop the relic there. then you have to charge all the columns. i think there are 6 of them
then once it's activated you go back to that altar and scan it and then another relic goes up in the air then you have to scan the thing up in the air.
hint: i have to silence my speakers, the music makes me queasy. physically queasy. with the music off it's not as bad.

and while you are there... you need more of those guardian objects. 1 for the frame shift booster. a second for the guardian hull reinforce. another for the guardian module reinforce. i think the one for the plasma weapon comes from a different site. i forget now.

Yes, up on the center section platform where the two columns are that you shoot to charge there is a pattern on the ground with a triangle hole, the relic is suppose to be jettisoned into that hole, but I can't get it to work.

Yeah, I've read some comments about there being 6 columns, but he makes no mention of 6 in his video. Seeing that what his screenshot of the site shows and what mine shows, there isn't all the columns he says there is. Some of the ones he has circled red or blue aren't there. Compare his with mine and you'll see the site is slightly different. He has a couple as being tall columns and I don't see that where I'm at. It appears to be the same site, but it's now different.

Also, if he says all you need is a 8T cargo, how am I supposed to hold all that stuff?

yeah the 6 columns dont pop up until you drive near their spots. then a sentinel spawns. you should be killing at least 6 sentinels as well.
the guardian module blueprints don't take up inventory space from your cargo hold. you really just need the 1 cargo spot to carry the relic to the altar

i would do a complete circle and pop up the columns / kill the sentinels before i put the relic on the altar spot. then the columns are already above ground

if you wanted to get the 3 guardian blueprints in the same trip, you would have to log out and back in to reset and start two additional scenarios after your first success

Some sites require an Ancient Key and not a relic. Without knowing which site you're at it's just a guessing game. You can look up which one requires which at Cannon's DB.

I did this 3 weeks ago following the same review, it works 100%. It seems you charged only the 2 columns near the spawn thingie, after you charge the 2 columns just drive around and when you are near them they come up from the ground (making a distinct sound , so when you hear the sound stop the srv and look around), also go near them and check all side of the column cause you can charge them only from 1 side and its a pretty small light you need to shoot. Dont hurry because when you charge 1 the countdown resets, you have more then enough time than you think.

It sounds like you're not in the same location as Dituri was in the video. But each site should be similar.

Start by driving around and finding the 6 pillars to charge; don't charge them until you've found all 6. In some sites they are symmetrically laid out, others not. When you've found all 6, grab a relic, then start charging. I'd suggest leaving the 2 near the altar for last. When all 6 are charged, drop the relic.

Also note that not all guardian sites will offer the correct blueprint so make sure you're in the right place to get the blueprint you need.

Go to Open. A lot of times you will meet another Cmdr.

I helped out many cmdrs for the first time getting a blueprint or to do several speedruns for additional BPs. And many cmdrs helped me do a couple of additional runs for no reason

A helpful cmdr helped me out the first time. I was very grateful because I had no idea what the heck I was supposed to do.

Once you know how the pillars look like when buried (that is before you get close enough with the SRV for them to emerge), the best way of finding them (at least for me) is to hover with the ship around the site, since the view is much better. Once I've located them all, I land and go straight to them with the SRV.

This is not right because only after you charge your first pillar and the counter starts the other pillars will come out of the ground when you drive near them.

Okay, sooo, in my haste, I overlooked what Dituri's Elite said in his video. He did mention 6 pillars, I simply didn't listen, my bad!

His method is to go around collecting the cells and components first. then charging the two on the platform, then he does say to just "drive around" once the timer starts for the other 4 pillars.

I simply was not charging the other 4 pillars. I did miss that part.

Great tip about getting the other blueprints. I came from Sol, so I'm not crazy about making this trip three times!

Uhm, the video I followed that I did name in my initial post says where I'm at. It's the correct site. This is indeed a "relic" site.

Thank you. I did charge only two. That is why it wasn't working.

The countdown resets after each charge is not mentioned. Very good to know.

Got some great practice dropping the relic and having to pick it back up, many times!

It's the correct site.

Your method is opposite of how Dituri does it, but it seems it really doesn't matter which way, platform first or the other 4 first. Both apparently work fine.

My failures show I wasn't following it correctly. The video I named in my first post does mention 6, I was mistaken.

I simply had not verified what type cargo the items would be, I assumed the 8T cargo would work.

I was doing it wrong because I didn't listen to the video. I missed the 4 other pillars.

Next attempt I suspect will be successful.
