This has been my opinion since day one. Just because you CAN fix things yourself by digging around in files and PC configs, doesn't mean we should accept that as the default. Almost every other game I own that has multiplayer has never needed me to go and change external settings just to make it work at baseline. Only other game tbh that comes to mind is the Halo Master Chief Collection, which is more forgivable since it's trying to port some exceptionally old games while working around old implementations of their netcode.I really hope Elite isn't going in a direction, where players need to apply performance, optimization fixes and configurations personally. It's sad enough that we have to use a mod just to change the UI color and third party tools/sites to know wha-....
