Has the herding been improved without mention?

Someone on reddit pointed out that animals herd much better than before, despite not being mentiomed in the notes. I checked and it seems to be the case.

Did anyone else notice this?

I feel like the improvement was already implemented since 1.9. Alot of people over at modding discord noticed it back then.

I haven't played much since the Wetlands pack, but I'll be sure to check it out. I hope so.

Maybe pack behavior has been expanded, too?

As I told Bearcat on Reddit, my Scimitarhorn Oryx pack were all moving in packs and it was a huge enclosure

Definitely getting this vibe. To test I put a few dozen each of scimitar-horned oryx, springbok, and zebras in an enclosure together and both the oryx and springbok are moving together in groups of 5+ way more frequently and consistently than I would've expected from the game previously. I think I'd still like to see it even more consistently than this, but it feels like a notable improvement from past behaviors. It does seem a bit odd that I can't seem to observe my zebras wanting to herd at all, though...

It does seem that some species are indeed staying grouped a bit more often since this last update even though it was updated in 1.9
