Have you ever wondered what to do today ?

I've been doing alot of hauling out near Barnards Loop recently, but I'll probably come back into the bubble soon once I get bored - variety keeps things interesting...
But what truly keeps me going (into the thousands of hours) is other Cmdrs.
Together we co-op, we PvP, we have a laugh and show off what we're doing - and apart we compare our solo endeavours and chat - it's great! 👍

When someone looks for excuses to play a game. Something is wrong.
When its done, its done. Do something else.
I think because so many players have invested so much time into Elites grind that they find it hard to let go.
Its like an abusive relationship.
I have a long history playing games with first pong 1974 to Wolfenstein 3d, quake ect. then in 2016 I got a Vive VR headset.
looking for a good VR game I found Elite Dangerous in 2016.
Elite in VR has been the best gaming experience I have ever had by far.

i am almost 100% VR now, did do Starfield for a bit got bored then back to VR.

Done VR racing, DCS, VR Skyrim, but Elite captures my imagination like no other.

i don't play Elite,
Because in Elite VR I am in the game, its all around me. I am in my ship, my room is gone.

sorry all for the off topic bit, 50 years of gaming hasn't given as much pleasure at playing Elite Dangerous in VR.

Microsoft Flight sim is good in VR.

I recently took a break from ED (two years in fact).
Im back now (sort of) and im playing ED again (more of less) with some level of renewed vigor.

Old is new again.

Wow so similar.
I was born in 1966 and first played "pong" on a binatone tennis in the 70s that I got for xmass.
Played Quate CTF league "Savage League" UK and went to many Lan parties.
I now play Elite in VR and havent played anything as good as that ever. Its the best VR game imo.

Collect one of everything in the game on your carrier.
that kept me busy for a year or so.
Edit : Not stolen when posible.

...and then do it so they are all stolen.

Currently on an all rares vistings and selling spree and could do with a carrier lift to Colonia if anyone is heading that way

Same generation here, 1984er, same experiences. Amen to your conclusion.

Elite in VR is unreal. You are there.

And the best VR experience was attacking the Titans. The purple haze of maelstrom, lightnings and glows, rocks, the asteroid field appearing in the fog all around you, and deep in the clearing, the monstrous shape of a Titan, the size of all this... and having all that in LakonView™ ships was an unbelievable experience. I used to go in and out and in and out in an AspX, just to look around the ship all the way. Cobra V was also a boon for sightseeing.

I miss that so very much.

Elite Dangerous with me for 14,869 hours. My interest hasn't waned, I've been to Beagle Point, the 65k club has become home, and I still have a lot to do in Elite.
I am eternally grateful to Sir David Braben for the First Elite, and equally grateful to the team who made the Elite Dangerous. There's always something to do. Thank you!
