Have your buying behaviours changed since Arx?

In the case of free ARX I agree obviously.

But if I must to buy ARX I must to give more money than what I really want to spend.
And guess what, because you will have some Arx left over, you won't have to buy or save as much for your next purchase. Isn't life just bloody wonderful

No doubt you have a sense of humor :)

I don't agree with the principle that my money sleeps on someone's account and not mine.

Its a continuation of the pre-launch announced ongoing funding method that was an alternative to a sub. It isn't and never was a gameplay mechanic.

no, wait, a part of it. the announced method was seasons which then was changed to dlc which are still nowhere to be seen. but we got a new arx shop! yay! \o/

If your complaint is "gah I'm somewhat impatient for new content" then I'm not sure what it has to do with ARX.

if you want to go with reductios ad absurdum like that then ... whatever! :)

Or be forced not to buy.

:)
How are you forced, is someone from FD standing over you giving you threatening stares? Have they sent menacing messages to you? The choice to buy a cosmetic is solely up to the individual, no one is forced to purchase anything in this game.

This borders on one of the more far fetched comments I have read regarding Arx, being forced - what a load of biowaste

I think to disagree would be just fine, but do you genuinely not understand the reasoning given for not buying?

Not when the reasons are non-existent, made up or just not understood. I couldn't give a flying biowaste whether someone buys cosmetics or not, I am just sick and tired of the continued over-reaction, the chest thumping, the outright lies people are peddling in regard to this subject.

Is that okay Mr Forum?

I did not say that I am forced to buy, I said that it is possible to be forced not to buy.

That was the DLC method which was changed (as they said it could be) in response to the customer tantrum around Horizons (hitting two of the things they said could change it). Tailoring the product to what the customers demand is a good idea (sometimes depends on the customer). As for nowhere to be seen we have more freebie expansion stuff coming soon(TM) and a major new and improved style DLC coming in winter 2020.

It is clearly absurd to object to cosmetics you benefit from but claim not to buy yourself.

People are just giving their opinions. I find this kind of topic interesting, because I get to read multiple opinions & form or test my own opinions against them.

Personally I wasn't a habitual buyer before, and now I can get some for just playing the game (which I was doing anyway) so with no change of habit I am better off after than I was before.

I don't think either the addiction or overspend arguments would stop me from spending money if I wanted something without having to wait until I'd earned enough ARX, but I do understand the reasoning & accept different people make different choices. Do you?

I find you aggressive and in bad faith.

Having the only alternative of being able to buy only with ARX is a voluntary constraint which can force people to be forced to renounce buying

keep trying ;)

again, i don't object to cosmetics. i couldn't care less about them. i don't really benefit from them either because they are promoting, it seems, a development model that hurts the game more than it aids. which is all moot because all this has already been decided at a directors board, for good or for bad.

but, yeah, there are many ways in which one could say i'm absurd. it's my human legacy!

Okay, for starters I don't really care how you find me, pretty simple isn't it.

Secondly, if you were paying with Euro's (being French that would be your currency of choice) you will still only have ONE option when buying cosmetics and you will still not know exactly how much you are spending because of the fluctuating exchange rates.

This is not the subject here.

So you raise the point that one of your complaints is that you are restricted to using Arx to purchase cosmetics, I counter your argument by correctly pointing out that prior to the introduction to Arx you had exactly the same restriction, just with a real currency - and suddenly it isn't relevant....care to explain that dichotomy?

Actually you can choose from pounds, euros, usd, and roubles(?). They have different number values all seemingly adjusted to the pound number but depending on where you are the cross rates including the adjustment may be better. It's only a few cents but it does fluctuate.
