Help reqd with DSS bindings.

Hi.

I'm trying to bind the DSS probe targetting to my mouse, but so far no joy (it only lets me use the joystick). I also can't seem to find a way to rebind the "fire probe" button from F10 to anything else.

I think you might need to increase the DSS mouse sensitivity setting.

interesting. i just checked and can't find it either, and honestly don't remember ever setting it.

Mine is set to my primary fire (my joystick trigger). So maybe it just automatically defaults to whatever the primary fire is set to?

It's a primary or secondary fire, rather than a key binding. Use the fire groups?

(I think??)

Mine is set to secondary fire, but if I’m using the mouse to aim, it would seem logical to use it to fire as well. That is how I have it set up on my SRV turret.

I just use the same binding that I use to open the DSS, and that's a fire group trigger.

You can have a mouse button as fire on SRV turret, so is there a way to do it for probes as well?

You must be able to, unless it's a bug. You can surely have a mouse button as primary or secondary fire in the ship cockpit?

In weapons section of the Options/Controls my alternate for Primary Fire is Mouse 1 - so DSS probes fire with mouse 1.

(SRV has separate fire buttons settings.)
