Help with bindings for please

Need some help please guys, I installed windows 10 and installed the game and copied my joystick bindings over and it's not working. My custom colour cockpit is working but bindings are not. Are there 2 places for the bindings to go? When I open up the custom binding I can see that my joystick is mapped....any help would be much appreciated as I can't be remapping my joystick controls again as there's to many on the hotas etc please help

Fixed it, the problem was with windows 10, as soon as i rolled back to win 7 all was working ok again.

Win 10 might have seen the stick as a different ID. The bindings file could be referring to the original ID, which is different from what Win 10 sees. If you could have manually edited the bindings file you might have fixed it for Win 10 without rolling back.

Eg in mine:

Code:
<RollAxisRaw>
 <Binding Device="SaitekX52Pro" Key="Joy_XAxis" />
 <Inverted Value="0" />
 <Deadzone Value="0.00000000" />
	</RollAxisRaw>

Maybe Win 7 and Win 10 refers to the stick with a different name. In Win 10 it's "SaitekX52Pro" but in Win 7 it may be something else. If you could edit it so that it reads as a Win 10 recognised name it may have fixed it.

I just checked in Win 7 64 bit. It is Device="SaitekX52Pro".

In Elite controls, first line, check the name of the preset that is loaded. Then in %username%\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings
check the bindings file. Also in the same directory look at StartPreset.start That tells ED which bindings file to use.

If there stored differently then were are they stored? I tried every location and still did t work

Sorry Im not at work at the moment but go back to Win 10, start the game and create a custom binds file (modify some control or setting on one of the default ones in game).

Remember what you called it and locate where it is on the HDD (search), put your own binds file there and then select it at next start up.

Well, for me its
C:\Users\%YourUserName%\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings
Just make sure that you dont have a copy of said config-file in the same folder. Took me weeks to figure out that this doesen't work as intended
