I feel like with us having a highlands speculation thread (basically the winter speculation lol), dreams and nightmares, highlands hot takes, it only makes sense to have a highlands meta wishlist.

I'm not sure how I should respond to this.
My top wanted mountain animals, what I'd put into a mountain pack, and the top requested mountain animals are all very different things.

These are my choices
  1. Spectacled Bear (VU)
  2. Markhor (NT)
  3. Ethiopian Wolf (EN) --- It is one of the world's rarest canids, and Africa's most endangered carnivore. It is estimated that the number of mature specimens is 197
  4. Bighorn Sheep (LC)
  5. Wolverine (VU) in Europe
  6. Yellow-throated Marten (LC)
  7. Andean Mountain Cat (EN) --- It is considered the most endangered feline in America and one of the most unknown in the world. There are less than 1,500 specimens of the Andean cat left in the world
  8. Chinese Giant Salamander (CR) [Exhibit]

So glad I see someone mention these in their list. Forget the elk, this is the only antelope I would like to see in a mountains pack, a very welcome oddball. Never seen em, never heard of them since last week reading someone else’s comment, but gosh they’re so beautiful 😍
Chiru are a very unique goat. (I was also surprised to learn they're caprines.) Even though they are uncommon in zoos, they are so pretty that I wouldn't mind them.

I would like
1) Takin
2) Speculated Bear
3) mountain goat
4) Pallas's Cat
5) Golden Pheasant
6) Hamdrys Baboon
7) Markhor
8) Pika as exhibit.

It seems there are about 20 highland animals to be included but we only have 7 spaces.

Here is mine:

1) Wolverine
2) Spectacled Bear
3) Golden Takin
4) Himalayan Monal
5) Markhor
6) Hamadryas Baboon
7) Rock Hyrax
8) Kea in WTE

1. Spectacled bear
2. Gelada or Hamadryas baboon (both work really fine)
3. Golden takin
4. Pallas cat
5. Markhor
6. Vicuña
7. Barbary sheep (Aoudad)
WE: Vulture

I would rather see wolverine in taiga pack but if we could get Vicuña or Guanaco as the anniversary animal I would then switch Vicuña to wolverine.
